This is one of my favorite Bay Area news memories. The other is even older, and I think it was also on KRON. The Stanford tree showed up at the news studio after being “kidnapped” (it had a black eye and a bandage) by some Cal students and proceeded to talk about how it was forced to partake in drug and alcohol abuse. You could tell it was NOT how the news crew expected it to go. Anyway. That one is lost to time. Always brings me back to see KRON on my feed.
