How many other Gen Xers used to sit around and watch "Buck Rogers in the 25th Century" as a kid?

Biddy biddy biddy: I've never seen it.

No, *biddy* refers to the Golden Girls, and it should be "biddy biddy biddy biddy"

I was in the throws of puberty so I was watching Erin Grey in her skin tight suits very very closely.

One of few shows I think they can remake and I would watch
View on Reddit #73703603

SomePeopleCallMeJJ@reddit

I guess that would be a re-remake, since the show itself was [a remake already](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Buck_Rogers#1950–1951_ABC_television_series). But in the meantime, there's [Farscape]*(https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Farscape), which is excellent and fairly Buck-Rogers-esque. (And holy crap, I just realized that more time as passed between the debut of *Farscape* and now than had passed between the debut of *Buck Rogers in the 25th Century* and *Farscape*! :-O )

Let the people that remade Battlestar Galactica. I was able to enjoy that one.

First season great. Second season meh. They should have at least kept William Conrad for the opening narration of the second season. Gil never disappointed though.

My father didn't like Buck the character, he thought he was too cocky and swaggered too much.

This gets overlooked a lot. In space opera it's one of the only good guy fighters to not have an airplane type shape. Actually if remember, the bad guys had the straight wing fighter.

I have the vhs release around here somewhere. I got a good laugh when I realized Birdperson was Hawk. Hawk's ship with the claws was so incredibly impractical.

I've had a deep fondness for the memory of this show since it first aired, and hunt down the opening intro for season 1 every two three years. The design for the fighters was the coolest looking of any sci-fi made for its time, by far, and I would argue only ever lost the crown to the star fury of B5, many years later. Ironic that their design was originally intended for use with the first Battlestar Galactica, considering the style of fighters that show went with in the end looked comparatively ridiculous.
View on Reddit #73705044

Totally. In fact, I recall a kid in my third grade class who would constantly walk around imitating Twiki, the little robot. "Biddy, biddy, biddy."

Absolutely. Having had my 4 year old world expanded by Star Wars in 1977, it was Buck Rogers, Battlestar Galactica, Doctor Who, Blake’s 7, Space 1999, Flash Gordon (1980 version).
