Knitters/Crafters- how are you getting on with your projects?

I have accidentally got myself into a bit of a pickle by over committing to too many projects. So I have two half finished hats, one glove to do and a scarf to finish. The glove is for me so that can wait, but I need the loom to do my next thing (a stocking). Having a lot of fun though! How are you getting on with your projects? What are you working on at the moment?

I generally have at least 2 projects on the go, and generally don't finish it until after I need it (e.g. winter jumpers get finished in April) but it's more the fun of the hobby, don't want to start thinking of it as a job!

The special jumper is looking great! I just finished the neckband and weaved in some ends. Still plenty to do on it though... The scarves I made for other family members are long done.

It's special because it's a design my dad has wanted since he was a kid. I've done a plain raglan jumper and I'm going to sew on multiple colours of i-cord as faux cabling

Feel that 😭 I finally got the courage to frog the brioche buttoned vest I was midway through. Genuinely so nice to be free of the guilt and then I whipped up a jumper with the yarn in 1-2weeks after 🥹🫶 I finished two jumpers in less than week tbf… miniature tree ornament ones 😂

What kind of machine do you use? I can't do needle knitting as I have no coordination, so grateful that looms and machines exist

Absolutely terrible to be honest! I’m doing a cardigan for myself and I was hoping to get that done at some point in January but all I have so far is the back panel and half the left front so that’s not really a goer. My other half and I are planning on trying for a baby next year, so the cardigan was supposed to be the last big thing before I start switching to knitting baby stuff. I’ve been so busy with Christmas and all the stuff around it that I’ve not really done much knitting. I normally knit a new Christmas ball or two to go on the tree most years but I’ve not even done that this year.

Hope you're fortunate on the baby front. Suggest carrying on with regular knitting until second trimester. Don't put your life on hold whilst waiting for a child. We did and it was all for nothing. It's time you wont get back.
