My hot take is related to yours - married sex gets better. I suppose it's conditional to your marriage actually being in decent nick too. I agree with the 30+ part though. Both Hubby and I finally shed our lingering insecurities, gained some knowledge, a shit load of experience and better at communicating our needs. It's EPIC at 40+ too 😏

Get her some 'open door' romance books (or read some yourself). Honestly, it was game changing for us to realise we both had stuff we were intrigued about but were too embarrassed to suggest. After a very funny discussion about the logistics of some things in the smutty books I had read, well, lets just say we embraced the don't knock it till you try it mentality, seems we were both kinkier than we thought. Ask her if there's anything she has always wanted to try but you haven't done together. Women tend to not expect too much effort sexually, and definitely taught not to be too demanding. It's a crapshoot to even figure out ourselves what it is that is the 'magic combination' to set the trigger off. But for the love of god, do not suggest a threesome (which for some reason is what the male brain seems to go to), otherwise your sex life will no longer be the issue.

I grew up in a 'chocolate in the fridge' family. Strongly disagree with this. Whenever I go back to my dad's and he gets out some chocolate it's always so much worse than when I have it from room temperature at home. You just lose so much flavour and texture when it's that cold.

Just drove past a bungalow in my home town with a dismal two loops of festive lights around one large tree in the garden and nothing else. I sound like a miserable twat but go big or go home. One tiny tree packed with lights is so much better than stringing out nothing over a large area. Also stop calling a couple of tractors towing the same old shit down the main street a 'carnival'.
