What are your most used travel apps/websites/resources?

Hi! My gf and I have been traveling around Europe for the past 156 days. Over that time period, we have used a lot of different apps and websites to discover things to do and see. I am hoping to start a discussion where we can share a few of our favorite/most used travel apps or resources!

Wikivoyage: https://www.wikivoyage.org/ My personal favorite and also one of my most used. A lot of useful info for everything you need to know about getting to/from/inside of a new country. As well as a few recommendations for things to try.

Organic Maps: This map app is based on OpenStreetMaps and is a fork from Maps.me If you didn't know maps.me was purchased by a payment company and since has become bloated and the philosophy seems to have changed. Organic Maps goes back to what made Maps.me so amazing in the first place. Download maps for offline use, pin and categorize things you see/visit, and is very lightweight.

HiChee: https://hichee.com/ Check if the Airbnb or booking.com listing you are interested in is listed on another platform. It shows the price on all available platforms and can save you some money! I just recently discovered this and have already saved a bit of money!

Techsalerator is great for getting reliable location and business data when planning stops or figuring out logistics in new cities. It helps greatly with surface detailed local insights that typical travel apps don’t always catch.

Great list! I’d also recommend Techsalerator; it’s helped access location-based data while traveling. It provides detailed regional insights that can guide where and when to go, especially if you're planning around local trends or trying to avoid peak times. Super useful for smarter trip planning!

ATM Fee Saver - gives you a list with ATMs and their fees and limits. Works in around 50+ Countires. Really helped me, the App guided me often to ATMs with 0 Fees or at least low Fees. Check it out =)

I use the Roam Local app. You can take it everywhere! It’s great for finding places to eat nearby or far away, Creating plans and sharing with your friends.

ATM Fee Saver - helps to find fee free ATMs abroad and gives the withdrawal limits also for foreign card holders, use it quite a bit, helps in saving up on those costs.

TravelSpend - to track expenses

Polar Steps - to track travel journey

iOverlander - to get user generated list of all kinds of places - toilets, hostels, restaurants, fuel stations, kitchens, etc. particularly helpful for road trips
