My mum told me to pretend to look more ill than I was at the GP waiting room, did anyone elses?

I said this to my 8 year old nephew a few weeks ago. When it came out of my mouth I couldn’t believe I had turned into my mother. For context his temp spiked at 104°, he was coughing like 40-a-day smoker, and could barely speak he was so unwell. Right as we pulled in to the GP car park for the emergency appointment the Calpol kicked in and the little shit perked right up. 111 had told the doctors that if they couldn’t see him within the hour he needed to go to A&E because they were so concerned, and I turn up with a grinning child singing the wrong words to jingle bells 🤦🏼‍♀️
