Dual citizen Canadian and U.S.

I find it tough to express myself around American citizens lest they become highly offended by my liberal, more altruistic views of society. It is highly depressing.

I’m actually an American conservative that lives in British Columbia. The longer I live here, the more I enjoy it. I am willing to admit that there aspects that work better here. The thing is that I’m also not blind to problems. Here, it doesn’t matter what your political views are. It really doesn’t. People leave you alone. Additionally, I have changed my perspective on firearm regulations, healthcare, and safety. You need to live in a less extreme environment. It will help you significantly.

As a Canadian you would probably feel more at home living in India than North Florida. People speak English in North Florida , and say merry Christmas this time of year. Set up a go fund me to crowdfund your ticket to India. You will be happier that way.

I have lived in India and actually many folks in India speak English. They are more open-minded than the rednecks in North Florida. Plus, they have no problem wishing someone Merry Christmas, whether they are Christian or not.

Sounds like you would be happier in Russia. Set up a go fund me to crowdfund your ticket to Russia. You will be happier that way.

Would you describe the government in Ottawa as politically to the left?

To the left of the US federal government, definitely.

Agreed, MAGA people are incapable of empathizing with anyone and seeing future consequences of their destructive policies and actions. The only time they come close to a realization is when something directly and negatively affects them. But then they just balme democrats and liberals for what republicans are doing to them. Go figure

340 millions of people: some of whom lived in US for many generations but many came recently from very different parts of the world. 340 millions of people who are very passionate about their political views and very divided in their political views … yet you have no one who understands you?

You obviously have never been to the west Coast or certain cities in America. And I could say the same about people in Ottawa and the whole truckers strike. They interviewed Canadians who sounded like MAGA.  OP is full of it.

I think that highly depends on where you are in the US though.

US citizen living in BC here! It’s been refreshing getting out of the Southeast USA and being around more likeminded people. Depending on where you are in the USA it can be harder to find us, but we are around!
