ULPT: banned from Facebook marketplace, how to get access again
Posted by imnotbobvilla@reddit | UnethicalLifeProTips | View on Reddit | 29 comments
Last year I was selling a bunch of tools and miscellaneous wood etc. I guess I got a little snarky with people that were lowballing and being jerks. Apparently that trip somebody to reporting me and got me banned. I never got a reason exactly why it happened but it did. I appealed three times. Nothing came of it. I still have access to Facebook but not marketplace and I would really like to be able to use it to buy some used furniture too to to fill out my condo. Anybody have suggestions? I'm at a loss 😞

You need to use a new phone. Don't use a VPN because that will trigger an ID check, instead make the Facebook account from a place with open wifi like a Starbucks THEN use the VPN before going home. Proton VPN is free.

Thank you. Great response. I think I'll try this approach. I'll check out proton. Thank you!

Hello. Did u find any solution please ?
Skeggy-@reddit
Make a new account. I feel like this one is common sense.

I tried this and immediately connected me back to my old account because of my cell phone number. This is the heart of the problem
BluBeams@reddit
So use a different phone number...

I tried using a virtual phone number. I tried using a pay-as-you-go phone somehow and I think it's because it was on the same laptop that I was using my regular account. It connected me back to my original account and block me

They track all sorts of data to identify you, ip, browser fingerprint, etc... Don't use your own wifi. Setup from coffee shop and boot from a Linux distro.
Then ssh into a vpn from a vnc, triple your ram, and defrag the webnet.dll cache buffer. Down cycle the history botChain but don't upgrade!!! Also, wash your body AND soul in a 17 minute goat milk and lavender bath at 105.6 degrees, in a copper tub aligned with sagittarius.
This should successfully defeat facebook from tracking you and save the universe.... And you will smell nice too!
Rachel_Silver@reddit
I'm embarrassed to say that I didn't realize you were doing a bit until I got to "triple your ram".

Now that's what I'm talking about!

Steal a phone duh

Try not being such a piece of shit. If you sell a few things on there without being a POS you might get back on.

To be clear, I wasn't a piece of s and I'm not a piece of s I'm a good person that was selling things that were worth hundreds sometimes more for a third of their regular price. But when somebody offers you $10 for something that's worth $300 that you're selling for $80. How would you respond?
No-Song-6907@reddit
"No thank you, have a good day" works well. Need more examples?
Dante2377@reddit
ignore them. or just say "no that's too low" and then ignore them.
ProEntomologist@reddit
Is probably fake accept the offer then ignore them
gunsforevery1@reddit
That’s ethical.
New-IncognitoWindow@reddit
Spit your gum out on the sidewalk while doing so.
Grandma-Plays-FS22@reddit
Get a new pay as you go using cash from a different store in a different city. Go use a library computer, to get a new account.
imnotbobvilla@reddit (OP)
Thank you. This seems like the most reasonable approach
unotheserfreeright25@reddit
If it's anything like reddit they block your IP address so simply making a new account may make it worse.
So get a VPN and make a new account. There are some free ones out there that suck overall but do indeed change your IP address.
imnotbobvilla@reddit (OP)
Can you explainLike I'm five, how creating a new VPN or using a VPN service would accomplish this
unotheserfreeright25@reddit
Broadly speaking, your household/mobile phone have a public ip address. It's a number unique to you and how most websites/apps identify you on the Internet.
A VPN will change this number and most (but not all) websites won't know the difference.
imnotbobvilla@reddit (OP)
I thought the IP address was based on your location, not your device or you in particular
unotheserfreeright25@reddit
It's does location as well.
FoolishDancer@reddit
Why not create a new profile?
imnotbobvilla@reddit (OP)
I did try creating a new account but it's tied to your phone number for messaging and immediately connected me to my original ID. I even tried using payastouGo phones.I even tried using a different email address just for this reason and that again connected to me and blocked me
