What’s / who’s the way to send parcel abroad?

Hello! I’m quite new to shipping internationally from the UK, and this is my first time. I’m sending a parcel with general stuff to my girlfriend abroad, and I was wondering whats the best way to do this and who to go with? I’ve looked at it online, and am looking to drop it off and track it on its journey, since I did send letters three months back which never arrived. I’m asking to see which places are reliable, and who to avoid, and the best way to do it. Thank you!!
