No, but my advice as someone who grew up in a world of ice and snow (Finland): shift the centre of your weight from the back of your foot toward the front.

Why I think this won't work... ..for a while, it might. But unlike rubber soles, socks will absorb moisture, even on the high points. That moisture will then freeze and you'll effectively be walking "ice on ice"...so probably even more slippery than just the shoes on the ice .

It works brilliantly. It helps if you have a bin full of odd socks that you can throw away after using. A thin plastic bag between the sock and shoe also helps protect your shoes

Saw some cool shoes somewhere in Finland (?) once, they had a hinged semi-circle section of the sole that you could flip over and it had spikes on. They weren't like boots or anything, just regular everyday shoes with a secret.

Consider a trekking pole (a fancy walking stick) if you're at real risk of slipping on ice. It's like a third leg. I got this [Brasher one](https://www.millets.co.uk/15981454/brasher-country-trekker-anti-shock-walking-pole-15981454) at a cheapo price. You can get more basic ones. I got one from Lidl once.

My parents have some studded contraptions that they attach to the bottom of their shoes (like crampons but designed for everyday walking around) to stop them slipping in the winter. You can get them on and off quite easily for when you go inside somewhere.
