Turkish bull pup shotguns?

I have heard these are pretty crappy even for $250 at the gun show. Anyone have one or definitely recommend avoiding even at this price point?

just don´t, not even once

I am not sure about the price point, but it's possible you could turn a profit on it, though it's a niche market. I recommend avoiding it.
Get a Mossberg 500 for a keeper gun. Also, keep in mind you can get a pistol grip if that's your preference. Can't forget the shell carrier (side saddle) either.
They used to be affordable. Doing a quick check...
A Mossberg 500 costs about $400 USD - new.
Used ones are all over. Good luck!

My boss has one, He's fired over 300 rounds and it's still good. His is one of the Turkish brands in Canada that are a little more expensive but are supposed to be better quality overall. Me personally though would still not buy a Turkish shotgun though.
SnoozingBasset@reddit
FYI - 300 rounds through a shotgun is like having 30 miles on your new car.
skippythemoonrock@reddit
The non bullpup ones are also trash

Any thoughts on the Savage Stevens 320? It looks like the Turkish guns. I checked one out at a gun show and it fit me perfectly whereas the Maverick 88 does not. But I am hesitant to buy.
tgpussypants@reddit
Anecdotal evidence here but I know a guy who runs a Stevens 320 as his farm gun and it's been kicking for at least ten years. Pretty sure they're Chinese, but the Chinese make good pump shotguns. I've heard great things about the BL-18
Stock_Block2130@reddit
Thanks.
tgpussypants@reddit
You should be able to get a Chinese Shotgun for under $200
Stock_Block2130@reddit
The Savage 320 is on sale online for $149 plus all the transfer and shipping fees. The local gun show had it a couple years ago for $188 with just sales tax added.
Broke_Bak_Jak@reddit
All turkslop should be avoided, full stop.
Matt3855@reddit
Eh, I’d buy a Winchester SXP or a CZ
Broke_Bak_Jak@reddit
Neither of those qualifies as turkslop though. Turkish made firearms aren’t inherently bad, as long as they’re coming from a reputable company.
Matt3855@reddit
Best cheap shotgun i’ve ever owned was a wood 28” Winchester SXP 12 gauge.
Those cheap shit turkish and chinese guns only exist because the 2nd Amendment protects their existence because otherwise you’d be cutting off someone’s access to a firearm.
ArceusTwoFour_Zero@reddit
You can get a Maverick 88 for the same price or less and it's going to be an infinitely better shotgun. Why pay the same price for something that's objectively worse? Like a cheap Turkish shotgun.
Relevant_Conclusion2@reddit (OP)
But the maverick is not bullpup 🤷
ArceusTwoFour_Zero@reddit
Bullpups are very niche, especially in shotguns. Even american-made bullpups like Kel-Tec are not very good, as seen in the James Reeves shotgun burn down using a kel tec bullpup. If an American made bullpup that's also cheap is crappy, I don't think a Turkish one is going to be any better.

Thank you.

Just no
OldEngineer-1950@reddit
Mine runs fine. Yes, it needed about 50-60 rounds to break-in.
HeughJanus@reddit
avoid
Censored_88@reddit
I bit at $199. Never shoot it, still have it years later. I think 4 rounds before jamming is my current record.
RedneckMarxist@reddit
If you're broke dick, buy this shotty. I love mine.

It won't break either. Better than the Remington, just a little heavier.
tgpussypants@reddit
My FIL just bought a 1952 Remington 870 for $50. Pretty rusty, broken stock, but a replacement stock and some oil and elbow grease it's wayyyy better than anything Turkey has ever produced. Idk why people don't go to pawn shops and looks for old Remingtons and Winchesters.
Drunk_Catfish@reddit
Most start breaking pretty quick. No reason to get one when there are so many good quality shotguns at all price ranges. Hell the keltec shotguns are better if you want something odd or different, but if you want cheap and good get a maverick 88 or a Mossberg 500 or 590 if you want to spend a bit more.
Excellent_Mall8819@reddit
Get a Keltec KS7, great shotgun, not too pricey, shoots anything I feed it
NinjaBuddha13@reddit
Maverick 88 is less than that and will actually function.
TurdMcDirk@reddit
wlogan0402@reddit
Straight up garbage
Better_Island_4119@reddit
Avoid. Get a Maverick 88 if youre on a budget
Mountain_Man_88@reddit
You basically have to buy one and hope that you get lucky and it feeds reliably and nothing breaks. A lot of them have the basic build quality of Nerf guns. If you want a functional shotgun at that price point, you'd be much better off going the Mossberg route.
Lostinspaceballz@reddit
I got one, been fine. Shoots really well. You can get one near Two Hundo at the moment.
