Just got a Holosun ARO for it yesterday and will mount it along with some Magpul BUIS. I can report that the gun is amazingly light. Looking forward to testing it.

From the experience of my all polymer EP9, polymer does maybe take a bit longer to transfer the heat and is maybe a little nicer than metal, but not enough to make any real difference. Once the heat builds up, it's coming through either way and it definitely builds up in a poly handguard.
Appreciate the info there. I've only used metal handguards so far and I'm sure there is a point at which it doesn't make much of a difference (and cooldown would be slower with polymer. I hear they make things you can put on your hand that can provide better thermal resistance.
it also means it can't easily build up the heat, because conductivity is required both to absorb and dissipate heat (it is a thermal insulator). Meishel makes a good point, metal does help to pull heat away from the gun due to its conductivity. but it also gets much hotter much faster.
I have the Warp15. Since the gun is an insulator, the few parts that are metal get unbearably hot under repeated firing. I burned myself on a take down pin after 200 rounds. Get something else if you want to stick a FRT in it and mag dump all day.

There's basically nothing to contain the explosion in the event of an out of battery detonation. I've seen standard aluminum uppers successfully contain OOBs and other overpressure events. I suspect a polymer upper would just completely detonate if one were to occur.
Is it a fringe scenario? Maybe, maybe not. I've seen more than a few in my day though, it's rare but it happens.
Not everyone has the same needs as you. I wanted an ultralight AR for disability purposes that didn't break the bank since I wont be shooting it often. I put 600 rounds through it without issue. If you want something else, get something else.

For the price (and really anything under ~$400) it's really hard to beat. Reliable, reasonably accurate, and all the parts are at least decent quality.
It would never pass muster as an ultra precision rifle or bet-your-life-on-it duty weapon you can beat to hell and back, but for the price it's way better than it has any right to be.
What do you mean by this class of rifle? If you’re looking for your first ar style rifle i say get something more traditional. If you mean polymer or lightweight or something then have at it.
Mine has been great. No issues a couple thousand rounds through. Some people have reported issues, but Andro is responsive and should fix any problems you have. It's a $360 AR so you're not getting anything fancy, but you're not getting a bad rifle.
I've seen one comment from someone who owns it saying it shoots 2.5-3 MOA. Apparently, the upper is also polymer only without any steel reinforcements, which does not instill confidence in me for long term reliability.
It says there’s an aluminum trunnion and brass rails inside the polymer upper, so it sounds like the polymer is built around metal parts.
No normal AR upper has steel reinforcements. If executed properly, aluminum and brass should be fine.
The if executed properly part hasn’t been tested yet.

I love my complete wraithworks kp15 lower that I got for 90 dollars shipped a couple years ago but there's no way I would expect a polymer upper and handguard to last 1000-2000 rounds and any real usage other than gentle range sessions. I paired my lower with a delton 20inch $200-$250 "m16a4 at home" upper now that's the way to do it. RIP delton
I got a KP9 lower for $65 and Odin Works Super Lite Barrel $52 and built the most fun little freak of a 9mm AR. It’s one of my favorite guns, I am so thankful for the gundeals sub.

In for one, for my mom for Christmas. Figure I'll probably swap the upper from one of my other AR's for her, and then either fuck around with the polymer upper for fun, or pull the BCG and barrel for another build.
I wouldn't say its a bad thing, the budget ar market is way too oversaturated. Not to mention companies wanted exorbitant amounts for things that weren't worth it, not saying the kp 15 lowers aren't worth it, but the product is niche to the average consumer so its getting lumped in with the stuff thats just not moving.
I would say cheap AR's is actually a good thing, representing there's no panic buying, and will keep prices for the average firearms consumer down.
That's true. I've never heard of this brand until this ad. But am aware of the fairly cheap pony rigs. Of course there's the extreme other end like HK.
There's definitely panic buying going on here in Colorado! Stupid new law goes into effect Aug 1st that requires some, still unknown, lengthy class and registry to buy anything not rimfire or shotty.
KE arms lower, propriety single upper. Respectable, I hope they are reliable and we see more people offering reliable lightweight cost effective rifles.
