What does "grow up" mean. I was in elementary school in the 80s, middle and high school in the 90s. Which one did I grow up in? I got to have sex in the 90s, so I'll go with that.

i loved being a kid in the 80's 'coz I think I preferred 80's cartoon shows and sitcoms? i don't know, maybe it's nostalgia speaking. However, I especially loved being a teenager in the 90's. Better music, IMHO. at least, I didn't get to suffer the super trendy 80's hair 'coz I was too young to be using that much hairspray.😁

It was financially much better to be born earlier because we had more time to be kids, mess around and still have a chance at owning a home. It was much harder if you were born in the 90's, my sister is exactly 10 years younger than me and that generation needs a lot more financial support than we ever did.

I feel like it was perfect being a kid in the 80s and being a teen in the 90s. Those people in r/90s who make it obvious they were kids in the 90s...it just feels so odd, like they missed tons of great shows and songs and put a little too much garbage from Nick and Disney on a pedestal.

Being a teenager in the 90s is the Xennial experience

My older sister always remarked that the 80s were "stupid" and "everything was ugly." So we grew up with a 90s bias.
The 90s also had the technoptimism absent from the 80s. We started with think the arcade was high tech to 56k in the house in less then 10 years. The best part was that technology was fun and coexisted with the real world, versus supplanting it. I think that's all we ever wanted.

the 90s saw the end of the cold war. I'd say 8 years or so we got of peace before 9/11 was better than the 80s with the threat of nuclear war hanging over us.

Better to grow up in the 90s, better to have been grown up for the 90s.
Growing up in the 90s we still have unsupervised freedom. Economy was doing better, no hiding under desks. QoL just better,
Being a grown up in the 90s. You had a pretty great economy by the end. Could probably get a house pretty cheap still.

I dont know. I’m just glad we didn’t have social media in high school.
