My ex had a tumor on the back of his tongue. This Dr invented a surgery that uses the chest muscle to connect it to the tongue once the tumor is cut out. His chest muscle was moved over his collarbone and attached to the rest of the back of his tongue. He went through an extensive 9 hour surgery that saved his life. He also did radiation and chemo it was a real process but he went into remission and hasn’t had more problems.

Everyone I know always referred to him as uncle.

I was STUNNED as an adult re-watching it and discovering he was just Danny's loser friend from high school who lives with them.

Nothing safer than having a weirdo manchild who obsesses about toys and comics, living with your 3 underage daughters. The fact he was a full grown man dating teenage Alanis really sells the security.
