I was not athletic, but I was strategic at dodge ball and I always was one of the last people out.

We never played dodgeball growing up, but we had scatter ball. It was essentially dodgeball, with no teams.

My 6th grade gym teacher had a version where there were more balls thank kids. Complete chaos & we loved it

Parachute was only in preschool. Elementary, indoor kickball was the best. Automatic out if you hit the ceiling, but don't just try a ground ball if you have good control because there was that one time Emma D got a home run plus three points for getting it in the basketball goal on the other end of the gym!

Those scooter boards

We would play a game called “medic one” in PE class where you’d have to drag someone across the gym on the scooter like it was a stretcher 🤣

Loved when these things came out, we used to put our feet against the gym wall on one side and push to see how far we'd go and pray we didn't smash into anyone on the other side doing the same thing.

Crab walking dodge ball, or whatever that nonsense was called

Our PE teacher would sometimes make a whole child sized roll and move game, and that was the best. You as a group of 3 ish would roll giant oversized dice and move to that space and one of you had to complete the physical activity/challenge. It was the best.

Capture the flag. A baton sitting in a traffic cone that was guarded. I was always one of the last picked because I was a slow runner and not motivated. One day we played capture the flag I devised this whole scheme where I’d be the one to steal it since their guard was down with me nearby. I swooped in there, had another person on my team distract the guard and bam took the flag and sprinted home free to my side. I’m surprised they didn’t carry me out of the gym that day.
