Getting a job as an LST at an FBO

I am currently a high school senior and want to get a job as an LST this summer. I’m going to college for aviation and getting my PPL right now. I was wondering if it would be possible for me to get this kind of job as a “summer job”? I know it’s a full time job and a career for many. Will me telling them i’m going to college at the end of the summer be a dealbreaker? I live right down the street from a big GA airport where there is 3 fbos (Signature, Atlantic, and AeroCenter)

Its annoying to them if you get hired just to quit but if you are good at it and proactive on the job they could probably bring you back on the following summer or whatever. Don't want to burn bridges or develop a bad reputation. But the job is fun

Go for it. That was my first job ever when I was 15 years old at a small 2 runway (one asphalt, one grass) GA airport. Started as a summer job, and ended up staying there part time till I graduated HS.
I ran everything at the FBO a lot of the time; from sweeping hangers, cleaning bathrooms, to fueling aircraft, setting up pre-heating in cold weather, running tugs/moving aircraft around, working the radio, and anything else that needed to be done at the FBO. Was an awesome first job; and 1000x better than fast food like everyone else i knew.

It's the only way to go.
I worked for signature for years, HPN, LGA, EWR and MIA. I miss the job so much..
