How do you get in an out of the seat without hitting any buttons during fight? Say to use the restroom
McDentedMyTruck@reddit
The seats slide back and out, giving you a slot about 6 inches wide to slide your legs through. The important part is to remember to duck so you don’t slam your head into the switches above
Significant_Lynx_827@reddit
This is probably a simpletons question, but how do they get in and out of their seats with that pens in between them?
BikeMinistry26@reddit
The seats are electrically powered, smth similar to those found in cars. The seats can actually slide back and then move to the side which allows room for pilots to enter and exit the seat without difficulty
McDentedMyTruck@reddit
They can slide back and out, but they are manual. Nothing fancy on the 737

Also got two cards & a neat pin.
Small-Ad-3115@reddit
Yeah that is a legit pin. Not one of those cheaper plastic ones that are given out all the time. That pin is one that goes on the jacket. Cherish it, because no airline gives those out for free.

Thats cool af

Is it as hard as it looks to get in and out of those seats?

Apprehensive_Cost937@reddit
They are most definitely not electrically powered on the 737.

What's the overhead compartment above the captain's head?
JonBuqajIsSUS@reddit
I'm guessing it's the HUD(Heads up display) projector, since I don't see the glass on the first officer side
wdgiles@reddit
fun fact: that glass is Collimated and only reflects green light, all other colors pass right through. It's also kinda pricey at ~$150,000 each.

HUD projector

It's the projector for the HUD, so the captain can play fighter pilot.
Proper-Ant6196@reddit
How do you do this? You just ask?
ttam23@reddit
Yes just ask the flight attendant on your way out and then they’ll ask the pilots if it’s okay
Proper-Ant6196@reddit
That's really cool. Going to try.
hobbseltoff@reddit
Oh hey, I know that FO. He's a pretty cool guy, he takes a break from his flying job every year to go work on a crabbing boat up in Alaska.

Nice sharp photo - thanks!

Ayyyy this is such an amazing feeling, I remember my 1st cockpit visit a few months ago on an Eurowings A320, loved it, very friendly crew too!
