What's your music of freedom?

For me it's Eagles "Already Gone". The song is about stupid high school shit, but the third verse is amazing and I could sing the "vict'ry" chorus till tears turned to pride.
"Well I know it wasn't you who held me down.
"Heaven knows it wasn't you who set me free.
"So often times it happens that we live our lives in chains/
"And we never even know we have the key."
Chorus:
"['Cause/And] I'm already gone.
"And I'm feeling strong.
"I will sing this vict'ry song:
"Woo-hoo hoo, woo-hoo hoo..."
I'd found my toxic most recent ex was telling other people he ought to be I control of whether I live or die. I was shaking as I cut him off entirely, but it was such a relief. I'd discovered my power. (So often times it happens that we live our lives in chains, and we never even know we have the key.) And that power to decide who doesn't get to be part of my life was something to celebrate. (Woo-hoo hoo! Woo hoo hoo...)
That's why this old song about stupid high school shit is my song of freedom. What about yours?

“Free” by VAST. Nothing particularly poetic about the lyrics, but the rhythm, riffs and vocals are epic in my opinion.

I Will Be Heard by Hatebreed.
"...ive got to take my life back. One chance to make it right. Ive gotta have my voice be heard, and bring meaning to this life..
Cause ive trusted, for nothing. Ive been led astray. Ive been tried and tested. But I won't accept this fate. Now ive done things I regret. And its time to reverse the roles. Now I just wanna make good on, all the promises I have made... i will be..... I...... WILL.... BE... I WILL BE HEARD!

Hope you don’t mind me saying but Wow your ex sounds like a real dick. And I’m glad you cut that looser off. I love Eagles and can see why you would choose this song, very appropriate for your circumstances.

Oh he absolutely was! We'd connected when I was in some pretty extreme circumstances such that I was, medically speaking, at such great disadvantage that he was arguably taking advantage of me from the very beginning. Found out later that's how he does relationships generally and accounts for why the average age of his friends was still just under 16 when he was 22. Because he liked having the air of authority. Unfortunately for him (but good for society) he had for some reason put me in contact with a couple of his little friends, and one chose to ask me about his complaining about what I'd done. Provided some documentary evidence which then went around and lost him all his current teenage friends. So that's good. Last I heard, he wanted to be a youth pastor... Shudders.

Down with Disease by Phish or Buster by Moe. I hear those and I feel like a 20 year old on summer tour. No responsibilities other than to let it rip
