I don't think I've worn a watch since this one.

I found one of these at the bottom of a lake when I was a kid. It’s still working to this day. I use it to take vitals at work
CuCullen@reddit
I guess it’s just the way things are now. Appreciate your resourcefulness…Doctor.

My last watch was a Swatch. Black on black with a glow in the dark protector
Massive-Log6151@reddit
Was my first solid watch
OutcomeLegitimate618@reddit
I kept a fossil watch I liked until it broke down in 2010, which is actually about when I broke down and bought my first smart phone.

7th Grade...

Had one of these; also had the Timex calculator watch. When I was very young I had a watch with my high school graduation year emblazoned on it (and I mean like in third grade so many years before that time).

Those were fantastic. The Casio G-Shock is the thing now. It's basically indestructible, and the lower end models can be had for $45-$55.
KW5625@reddit
My first real watch was a Timex Stealth in 1997, then I had several Timex Atlantis
I got a first gen Android watch in 2014 and I've worn smart watches since.
Formal-Cut-4923@reddit
Yep had that one.
_MadGasser@reddit
I currently wear a smart watch. I never owned that POS.
Bergmiester@reddit
I went through probably about 15 of these because I believed their 100m or 200m waterproof ratings.
inspctrshabangabang@reddit
I'm wearing this bad boy right now.
_NoleFan6@reddit
Same, but I had a Casio G-Shock. If I ever get another watch it def wouldn’t be a smart watch lol
Much_Zucchini8826@reddit
I had this exact one

I'm wearing a timex ironman right now! A different version of it.
Montevelyan@reddit
This was my jam!!
Knight_thrasher@reddit
I know at some point I had changed the strap to a cloth one but where it came From I don’t remember
SaskatchewanKenobi@reddit
Wow! I forgot I owned one of these!
SteveEcks@reddit
Same

My dad had this watch. He successfully used the alarm on it to wake himself every night at 11:20 to go to work. On vacation once, he left it on the dash of the car. It slipped into the vent and was gone forever. But if we were on the road at just the right time, we could hear the alarm. Years and years we heard the alarm.

Indiglo is king.
FoppyRETURNS@reddit
Yes, I am in that club.
Great_Beard_1@reddit
I had one of those! The light was garbage, but so cool at the time
TwoCrossedAxes@reddit
Same here!
JackSpadesSI@reddit
The indiglo thing was magic to me. I guess they still make indiglo watches so I showed my kids and they thought it was the dumbest thing.
Admirable_Average_32@reddit
I’ve had many watches in my life but my all time fave was my 2007 Ironman. Was like $30 and lasted thru years of marathon trainings. Thousands of miles and hundreds of hours of running.
Clean-Environment284@reddit
Omfg lol forgot about this
SayItAgainLucas@reddit
Still works
TelevisionKooky3041@reddit
I've worn Casio LCD watches all my life. The Casio TS-100, which was one of the first watches to have an inbuilt thermometer is my all time favourite and is now a collectors item. I've owned about three of those and still use one as a pocket watch.
Alternative-Light514@reddit
My dad had one and he’d get mad at me for wearing it
FriedBreakfast@reddit
Wow. I had that same watch. I used to mess with it all the time and I had all the functions figured out. Now I can't remember what they were
NotReallyButMaybeNot@reddit
I miss my Ironman watch
tc_cad@reddit
I have no idea what happened to mine. It was such an awesome watch. But I don’t wear watches anymore.
NoAnnual3259@reddit
I remember I just had to have one that was water resistant to 100 m…so I could wear it swimming to the bottom of a 7 feet deep pool.
Comfortable_Tale9722@reddit
I had this exact one. For whatever reason, they were all the rage when I was in 7th/8th grade.
childofeye@reddit
I’m allergic to metal therefore i am allergic to watches. Then the apple watch hit. Dreams come true.
_Maxxx1mus_@reddit (OP)
Actually think I am too. That or a sweat rash would just start to disintegrate my skin under the watch.
Scrapla1@reddit
I loved the tech and look of watches back in the 80s and 90s but could never get used to wearing one.
L31121@reddit
Last watch I wore until I got an Apple Watch. Timex tho, man. “Takes a lickin and keeps on tickin” really lived up to the hype
someguyfromsk@reddit
I think I went through 3 of those through my reeage years.
I did wear a nice, metal analog one for maybe 10 years before I started carrying a cell phone and we basically went back to pocket watches.
maggie320@reddit
I always think of this as the Bill Clinton watch. He always rocked this in his first term.
Sirtriplenipple@reddit
Big, beautiful Bill. 🤩
