The Swedish chef really kills it in this one
scottjones608@reddit
What’s it streaming on?
modulus801@reddit
Youtube

The Pageant! Not a creature was stirring not even a mouse… https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r6nkp8AHalo
modulus801@reddit
Don't encourage them!
BigPoppaStrahd@reddit
I wish this was available on dvd
modulus801@reddit
The version made in the UK with the Christmas Toy is basically the full version. I am not affiliated with the seller, but bought a similar one a few years ago. DVD
BigPoppaStrahd@reddit
I love you
modulus801@reddit
Pass it on.
greaterwhiterwookiee@reddit
I had this one VHS until our last VCR died. We recorded it on ABC or something when we were really little and it still had the commercials and everything. I loved rewatching it.
modulus801@reddit
Did it have one with Ronald McDonald ice skating?
bring_back_my_tardis@reddit
I loved this one and so few people seem to know it exists. I used to have it one VHS but I think it got borrowed and never returned.
Gia_Lavender@reddit (OP)
It’s on YouTube now, that’s where I’m watching it rn.
clumsystarfish_@reddit
Does it have the deleted scene with Fozzy and the snowman? 🤞
Gia_Lavender@reddit (OP)
Wait which scene was deleted?
modulus801@reddit
There were several on the DVD and VHS releases in the US, primarily songs that they didn't have rights to.
Deleted Scenes
clumsystarfish_@reddit
When Fozzie and the snowman were singing the medley outside. For a while, it was cut from airing.
Akiranar@reddit
Yes.
bring_back_my_tardis@reddit
Thanks!
ZipperJJ@reddit
Watch the icy patch!

Gobbla-Gobbla HUMUNGA!!
ZipperJJ@reddit
One of the funniest moments ever!!!

I find preferring Muppet Family Christmas to Muppet Christmas Carol a real Gen X/Millennial divide.
Born in '79 and for me it's Muppet Family Christmas all the way.
Tiny-Reading5982@reddit
What about Emmett otter?
Comfortable_Tale9722@reddit
OMG I loved this show! It’s sad the amount of Xmas shows kids have no idea about. I just showed my niece and nephew Mickeys Xmas carol from the 80s with Scrooge McDuck as Ebeneezer Scrooge
GeetarEnthusiast85@reddit
I was born in 1985 and Muppets Family Christmas is what I prefer too. My family had it on VHS and I watched it constantly.
JustAnotherJaneDoe33@reddit
It was such an amazing trifecta as a kid!
NachoNachoDan@reddit
I can’t be asked to choose. It’s like Sophie’s choice
TAckhouse1@reddit
Went to go look for it on Disney+ of course it isn't available 🤦♂️
Akiranar@reddit
It's on YouTube uncut.
Akiranar@reddit
Same! Born in '79 and devout Muppet Family Christmas watcher.
rangeghost@reddit
What's it say about me that I consider both to be Elite Tier Muppet productions?
Gia_Lavender@reddit (OP)
Agreed!!
makinbaconpancakes42@reddit
Oooh fascinating hypothesis! I love both, but that’s cause we had this gem recorded off TV which we watched every year (I can still remember the Christmas ads that got spliced into the recording).
Muppet Xmas movie came out when I was older, and I also love that movie, but it doesn’t hit quite the same.
Lemonyslush@reddit
Oh man, I think you might be on to something. I’m ‘83 & Muppet Christmas Carol was our pick. It also helped growing up in CT and seeing Caroll Spinney frequently, he was the BEST and least grouchy old man I knew as a kid.
DailyShowerCry@reddit
Christmas eve on sesame Street checking in. I keep Christmas with me, all through the year
Calm_Philosophy7839@reddit
This is the perfect answer.
ModBabboo@reddit
I have a soft spot for this one too. There's something really melancholy about it.
Perfect-Agent-2259@reddit
Every year, every Christmas Eve, having adopted my husband's family tradition.
And then Muppet Christmas Carol on Christmas Day (followed by Rare Exports later that night after the kids go to bed).
That-Molasses9346@reddit
I prefer Muppets Christmas Carol 😁
Womeisyourfwiend@reddit
Same
That-Molasses9346@reddit
Wait I forgot my jelly beans
BigPoppaStrahd@reddit
Holy mackerel, y’all can watch BOTH. Op is stating this special is a good one to watch on a Christmastime blizzard and I agree with them because part of the plot is that there’s a blizzard and Kermit is concerned about Miss Piggy making it to the house safely.

I could not find the gif I was looking for, nor do I know how to make one. But, if you would, picture the scene from Uncle Buck when Buck is talking to Maizy’s teacher. Ready?
Blasphemer!!!

I love them both
Lucky_Louch@reddit
We have a tradition of playing the soundtracks to this and muppet christmas carol on christmas day. "fiiiiiive goolden riiings ba dum bum bum"!!!
blacktrufflesheep@reddit
I think that's from the John Denver & the Muppets Christmas Special. Also a good one.
Lucky_Louch@reddit
Oh yeah that is for sure the soundtrack! Thanks
shetalkstoangels_@reddit
My app-time favorite Christmas movie - I hardly see it mentioned
Pinkleton@reddit
The house where I grew up was built on a hillside and had an unfinished basement, and I used to hope that I would find a Fraggle hole down there.
JustAnotherJaneDoe33@reddit
I’ve tried so hard to find this on video my whole adult life! lol. I had recorded on VHS as a kid. Thanks mom ❤️
Bulky_Goat_9624@reddit
Emmet Otter’s Jugband Christmas is my favorite Jim Henson Christmas show. They’re all so good though
RachelPalmer79@reddit
Born in 79. All the Muppets/Sesame Street/Fraggle Rock you can throw at me thanks.
PengwinPears@reddit
We start the season by watching this and decorating. It gets watched at least a dozen more times throughout December.
notevebpossible@reddit
Yes, and don’t forget Emmet Otters Jug-Band Christmas
No-Artichoke-6939@reddit
I could not wait for this every year! It seemed it only ever got played once the whole season and if you didn’t watch when it was on, that was it! The tunes are so catchy!
MicMacMagoo82@reddit
This is an all time classic, a yearly must-watch, and about the best heart hug you could wish for.
Ok_Trifle_1612@reddit
Watch out for the icy patch! Easily my favorite holiday movie. There are so many memorable moments from this that my family still says!
maggie320@reddit
All these years later I still sing “It hasn’t snowed a single flurry, Fozzie we’re all in a hurry” in We Need a Little Christmas. I’m not even sure what the correct lyrics are.
Gia_Lavender@reddit (OP)
And still forget that line in Deck the Halls because Oscar the Grouch won’t sing it.
maggie320@reddit
I have a faint memory of that. I’ll have to look it up on YouTube.
theoneandonly6558@reddit
And Santa dear were in a hurry, if I remember correctly from show choir lol.
gbyrd013@reddit
This and Emmet Otter’s Jug-Band Christmas are the best!

smoke2957@reddit
My favorite! A snuggle bud, and, some spiked hot cocoa makes this all the the laughs. In the the blizzardy mitten with some scotch and I think that I may give that a watch later.
chesterforbes@reddit
This and Muppet Christmas Carol are absolutely annual musts for me.
Future-Raisin3781@reddit
What's a snew man?
ZipperJJ@reddit
What’snew with you?
Future-Raisin3781@reddit
Wakka wakka!
Old-Explanation9430@reddit
My favorite by a landslide.
