A bit of a long shot, but anyone have extra firewood?

I'm trying to stock up for the winter and I hate using those fake blocks from the store. It would need to be dry/fungus free as it's for the fireplace. I appreciate y'all in advance!

Stock up? It's Dallas.
I don't think I've ever been in a situation where I had to light a fire place more then maybe 1hr a day for 4 days lol
Just put your heater on to 68 and a blanket on and you're solid

the phrase is commonly used in a more casual way nowadays, im getting a reasonable amount for what i need. no need to get condescending about semantics lol. and anyways, my apartment is always way colder in the living room so it's nice to have a fire going most of the time when we're home.

I've had this guy deliver and stack firewood to me a few times over the years. Always good wood at a fair price.

Where are you located? My dad will load your hatchback up for 50, a truckbed load for 175 and if you are in a reasonable distance away he can deliver for a small fee. Oak wood, might get a little pecan so if you wanna roast weenies in the fireplace or cook with it, you can also. Split wood logs.

Trailer full like in his pictures will run 600 and i believe that is delivered.

You can always check out Home Depot/Lowes. They sell seasoned firewood. Can get 10-15 pieces for $10 usually. It’s not that fake wood either

I’m in Arlington tx. Have a near-full arbor pears worth of wood on a rack in my yard. Dm me

Op, check out Burn This Firewood. They’re local and have decent prices on seasoned wood.
LazyKokiri@reddit (OP)
i will definitely be looking into this!
AnastasiaNo70@reddit
You’re asking for free firewood?
LazyKokiri@reddit (OP)
Nope! Just asking if anyone had any. I'd feel better getting it locally as opposed to a store.
AnastasiaNo70@reddit
Sorry, I misunderstood!
LazyKokiri@reddit (OP)
no worries!
Wonder1and@reddit
Call Austin's. They deliver down to the quarter cord size which is like 4 square feet stacked. 9032927298

When I lived in Carrollton my housemate bought a cord of wood. We ended up having a freeze that year so it came in handy for the four or five days we didn’t leave the house. There are plenty of places around Dallas that will allow you to buy wood in a variety of amounts and many will even deliver it to you.

Craigslist always has vendors selling firewood, multiple sellers around the metroplex.

Facebook marketplace too.

There are lots of stores that sell seasoned firewood... If you want a little cheaper, check out local landscaping companies.

thank you!

I don’t have an answer for you but I do have questions! How do you know if it has fungus? And well.. I guess I never thought about how that could be bad.. but how bad we talking here?

it's usually white or black, or shows up internally with discoloration. i'm not sure about the heath repercussions, but I do know it causes it to have a LOT of smoke while burning, which is not great for indoors of course.
