Every time I start a re-watch, I keep forgetting how many horny episodes TNG had 😁

I watched the season 1 episode where they went to horny free sex planet earlier.
Jmnx221@reddit
I have no any idea about that épisode 😳
Fifth-Dimension-Chz@reddit
Season 1 Episode 8 overly sexual planet that gets it on
Season 1 episode 14 Matriach planet where men are submissive sex servants. Riker gets it on.

“Drop and give me 50, ensign.”
multificionado@reddit
The better saying from Troi with that expression (which I find ironic here, too, given Troi actress Marina Sirtis was given at first the role that eventually became Tasha Yar [originally called Macha Hernandez, a tough lady inspired by Ramirez from "Aliens"]).

Wherein an ambassador achieves eternal youth by transmitting all the badness of him, from behavior to aging, to Troi, amidst a diplomatic function; a level or two above "Violations" from Season 5, but at least that dodgy ambassador makes up for the story.

i was always bamboozled about the fact having a betazoid all the time on the ship, acting as a counselor, one of the top brass.... and someway the ship did not turned into something what would make even the lost footage from Event Horizon look like Sunday school rehearsal...

I watched a couple of the trivia episodes last night while I was falling asleep. Funny to see people talking about how horny the show was the next day lol

Yeah, TOS had a bit of a sexy reputation in but reality everyone wanted the D 😂

Quiet-Estimate7409@reddit
When you watched them originally, having the episodes spaced weekly or further apart, you don't notice it. But binging 2 to 3 episodes at a time or more, I've noticed Riker was quite the horn dog 😂
rosysredrhinoceros@reddit
I watched it in real time as a kid but not much since. I’ve been reading through the Wikipedia episode summaries a season at a time and it really is funny how many of them are “and then Riker propositions/is propositioned by the lady alien for absolutely unnecessary plot reasons”
neriad200@reddit
tbh you cool tell THAT even with weekly episode format
FrostyMirror6162@reddit
Riker's such a slut. He brought back that nasty eye virus from Risa.
nada-accomplished@reddit
The one with the teenage girl Q using her powers to try to get with him is soooooooooooooooooooo yikes.
As a teenage girl I was like "understandable" but watching it now I'm like 😬😬😬😬😬
aar3y5@reddit
At least he doesn’t roll with it
nada-accomplished@reddit
Yes, I am deeply grateful for that. Riker's a horndog but he's also a stand up guy

PRULULAU@reddit
I miss when sci fi was sex positive 😢
epidipnis@reddit
Sex forward is not always sex positive. A lot of sex in TNG was not consensual.
PRULULAU@reddit
You are combining rape and sex. They are two totally different things. This show is sex positive and very clearly "rape-negative." Just because a show addresses rape doesn't mean it's pro-rape. Banning rape & resulting trauma in art/film/tv storylines is actually a dangerous thing in the long run, but that's a whole other tangent...
The vast majority of sexiness in TNG was positive and a lot of fun. And a lot of us miss fun, enthusiastic & healthy sexuality in our sci-fi (and tv in general).
epidipnis@reddit
No, I'm not.
A lot of the representation of sexuality in TNG is either non-consensual or weirdly unnatural. Ghost candle seduction. Troi being mind-controlled into nymphomania. Stuff like that.
I didn't suggest banning anything.
guardianwriter1984@reddit
Yeah. Way too much rape or implications of rape that is very unnerving.

STTNG: sluts in space
Not aimed at the ladies. everyone.
SuccessfulRegister43@reddit
I was a young teenager then and specially did NOT miss that vibe.
nada-accomplished@reddit
It's wild to try to navigate as a parent to a kid going through puberty. I thought this shit was awkward to watch with my parents when I was young, turns out watching it with your kids as a parent is 10x more awkward
Neoxenok@reddit
Given how oblivious I was to the few girls that tried their hardest to get my attention at the time, the vibe could have been highlighted in neon and glitter and I still would have missed it.
Sasquatch1729@reddit
Same with the X-Files for me.
As a kid: "Scully just mentioned hearing some strange noises outside her motel room during the night and Mulder says "it must be the swamp werewolf we're looking for. You should sleep in my room tonight, for protection". Wow, Mulder wants to protect Scully. What a stand-up guy."
As an adult: "Waaaaaaaaait a minute..."

Bill_Door_Et_Binky@reddit
Ah yes, one of the episodes in which Troi loses her sexual agency and autonomy for plot purposes. Those are always loads of fun.
multificionado@reddit
That and "Violations," Season 5. "Man of the People" is a definite close second.
Ralph--Hinkley@reddit
Those are two completely different plots, though. In one, Troi is being mind raped, and in the other, she's the victim of a life vampire.
multificionado@reddit
Ah yeah...Well, the mind thin was messed up. Being the victim of a life vampire...certainly there was some mental alteration, and her dragging that poor ensign was among the first signs of trouble. Then came showing up THAT dress, though the biggest hint was that grey streak.
Ralph--Hinkley@reddit
I like how she attacks Riker after the ensign leaves, accusing him of jealousy.
lexxstrum@reddit
Read this comment, and then I remembered when Ardra stole Troi's face and attempted to seduce Picard.
They really did her wrong, didn't they?
ritual-sphere@reddit
Thank you. This show has lots of great episodes but when you scrub through the whole series it feels like every three episodes are about some dumb kid or Counselor Troi getting molested.
Akersis@reddit
The one where Capt. Picard explains that Starfleet had no regulations regarding fraternization among the crew out-cringed anything Wesley ever said.

"gene said it was my turn to write riker's weekly fuck alien"
Hypnotician@reddit
s02 "Shades of Grey" should have just been Troi and Riker celebrating the anniversary of the day they, er, met.
We could have seen the holodeck replica of Troi's playroom from Betazed.
Cue Prince singing "Darlin' Nikki."
multificionado@reddit
Well, DUH. In fact, it should've been a time travel episode, if the show was THAT tight on money; they reused footage from past episodes as a budget saving excuse.
They clearly didn't look at one of the main reasons Star Trek: "The Voyage Home" (the one with the whales or the one with the worst/most swearing in the movies - take your pick as to what you remember it most for) is a time travel movie: William Shatner and Leonard Nimoy had to be paid exceptionally expensively, so making it a time travel movie by going to the past saved money on sets and whatnot.
Again, if they were TIGHT on money, what they should've done is a time travel episode, perhaps in the same style of "City on the Edge of Forever" or "Return to Tomorrow."
Hypnotician@reddit
Or they could have shot the episode on location in Vancouver, for reasons. I'm still fond of the idea of Riker wandering into Troi's holodeck playroom and finding that her previous guests had included Picard, Data, Worf, Pulaski, and the previous owner - Beverly.
Intellectual_Wafer@reddit
Well, you could say it was the... Sexed Generation.

I'd like to say The Naked Now, but I think that's a S1 episode; and judging by the uniform, that's probably S3 or later.
