My ebike battery is doing great after almost 6.5 years

Just wanted to share this good result to prove sustainability and long term use review. These things are really amazing for saving money and urban mobility I bought NCM Moscow 27.5 this is a 48v hub motor set at 350W nominal and 750W peak. Battery is 628Wh.
My usage was: 1) First 4 years were more intense: 20km round trip, with way back at basically full power because it has 350 meter elevation difference. My charge was always 20-100% every 3 days. This was at warmish temps in the summer and -10°C in the winter. 2) Last 2.5 years were lighter, moved to a city with daily usage of 3-5 km and small elevations. From here I've always charged with a smart charger between 10-80%. With a rough calculation with a watt meter it still has 550Wh of capacity more or less. Even if this is a very basic bike it really performed well. It's heavy and I really don't like it has just a cadence sensor only. Nonetheless it's still doing its job. The motor seems to have become more noisy, maybe it needs maintenance.

My EM3EV 14s6p triangle battery is still going mostly strong after 8 years and more than a little abuse, and the open source BMS app someone made recently is great for monitoring its health.
One of the cells has started to degrade recently, but so far nothing worrying just lower capacity and I try to never go below 20% unless it's an emergency anyways.

I bought the exact same make and model 5 years ago. Still going strong, no problems whatsoever. I never run it over 2 power assisted, and when new I got about 150km per charge, if I was really conservative I could get 180. 5 years on I’m getting about 120km per charge, the motor might be a little louder, it’s hard to tell, but really no complaints. Very happy with my choice.

Bought a Haibike Full Fat Six in 2017, not getting too much less mileage per charge on the stock battery as I was at the beginning. I’m amazed, as the bike sits in the garage for most of the winter and I haven’t kept up with the battery conditioning too well.

Have Batt 52v 14ah from 2019 and still going strong .

You're right, I also forgot my later usage has been like yours, low to medium assist and that also helps with battery health (lower discharge power and less charging). I wanted to service the motor but couldn't find any store in my area that would do it.

I bought a Shimano ebike, battery is complete shit after 10 months im jealous...never again Shimano

Oh real what type of battery is it? I’ve got 2 of the Shimano 500w ish batteries. Still going strong after 18 months

504 wh internal battery, first one lasted 2 yrs then the capacity dropped in half. Shimano replaced it with a new one, that one fell off within the first year. I cant get a reply from them now, they ignore my emails. 1000 bucks to buy a new battery Im gutted. I get about 22 miles a full charge now

I’m not sure I get much more than that running on max assist. Need to measure it next time I’m out.

I don't use max lol im always on 2. I used my bike to commute to work...always traveled the same distance everyday went from 2 charges a week at first to 4 a week after 2yrs, replacement battery dipped to 4 a week within the same year. Ill still be able to use it for work but I can't go for any kind of trail riding cause it drains so fast. It sucks cause the bike was spensive.
