Yep. By sheer chance the Matrix ended up in Hot Rod’s hand and he begrudgingly accepted the role as leader of the Autobots. Rodimus Prime is what happens when Destiny gets Drunk. Rodimus never wanted the job and as a Prime was resentful, insecure, anxious, and painfully aware he was not Optimus. He was literally Harry Truman to Optimus’s FDR. Not the best or most qualified guy for the job(Truman became President 82 days into the job) but got the job done regardless.
