My guess is Bella Italia, reliably average pasta and pizza in any given shopping centre.

I actually do not understand how Bella Italia is still in business. It's almost as bad as Frankie & Benny's. I'd have to say pizza express, assuming.olove garden is remotely edible?

Are you trying to capture the vibe of "really basic and full of nutters" casual dining, or focusing on the Italian theme? It is one of the worst chains of table service places in the USA, only Applebees is on the same level. I do like the salad and breadsticks tho I think Spoons might be a contender

I’d say Bella Italia. Having been to both, I’d say Bella is better - I had a mediocre experience at an Olive Garden in NYC, slow service, inattentive staff and yet they still gunned for a 20% tip on the bill (I left 10%) - U.K. tipping culture/pressure far less awkward.
