Trump is literally heading to be worse than Biden

Donald Trump is on a path to be the worst US President in history, overtaking Biden. My opinion is because he hasn’t delivered anything. His tax cuts were the main success, but Biden-era spending was kept in place, you cannot have limited government with Biden era spending, and you cannot have a prosperous country without immigration And the tariffs, he is doing it exactly wrong. He claims that his massive tax raises, are helping even remotely. If that path is followed, inflation will skyrocket and the US will have a very unsound economy. Also, the border theater is basically idiotic, since they are unprepared for the next hurricane or floods season in South America and Central America. Plus Mexico is getting overwhelmed with migrants. My opinion anyways

Cant have a prosperous country without immigration? Not sure about that.
According to pew research, nearly 25% of all immigrants never finished high school and nearly half aren't proficient in English.
How are those people contributing to the country's prosperity?

You haven't even mentioned the complete corruption, and turning the justice department into his personal revenge lackies

It’s almost like we have abandoned the founders framing. Congress has ceded their authority to the judicial and executive branches. The judicial branch is looked at as the scape goat. If only we had a doctrine that regulated the government and its power.

Genuinely have no idea what point you were trying to make here.

Every president in my lifetime has been worse than the previous one. During the Biden administration, I said Biden was worse than Trump, and predicted if Trump got back into office, he would manage to be worse than Biden. Every president has worked to increase the power of the executive in relation to the other branches, and has also worked to increase the power of government over the citizens overall.

I have seen this take maybe from you or other person in the past, on Reddit and it’s valid from my point of view. Because every President is shifting more extreme while ignoring the problems looming.

I'm not sure if I've posted this thought before, so it might have been somebody else who came to a similar opinion. Indeed, I have so few original thoughts, that I probably read somebody else's post, thought about it, agreed with it, and forgot that I did not come up with it on my own.

I think trump is better then Biden but still think he could be doing better. My fav thing he done was the tax cuts but at the tax cuts.
He it’s sad the poverty going on in south america and mexico but thats not our problem.
I do really disagree with him on trynna lower interest rates i think thats going to fuck a lot up.
It’s just like the people who support communism hey its never been tried right thats why it never worked yet so let’s do it and do it right this time cuz ifs different this time
Let’s lower interest rates guys I know the last time we did it it skyrocketed house prices made them unaffordable and created massive inflation but this time is different
Sound similar? Cuz it’s the same stupid argument. Cuz let’s face it this time won’t be different it’s gonna be the same disaster ad the last however many times it’s been tried and failed

About the border, I think that this problem will show up again, unless something’s done to reform legal visas or outright no asylum at southern ports of entry. Because look at Mexico housing now the migrants. Also the tax cuts were good. Just the thing I can say
not_a_expert69@reddit
Sure we could reform the visa system and yes illigal immigration is a problem but my point Is it’s not our problem that people want to leave their 3rd world countries. Yes its sad what they sre going through but we have to be able to let people in in a controlled manner not just let anyone and everyone in like Biden did
I’m an electrician mainly new construction and i cant stand the illigals who are on the jobsites, they do shit work, their always in ur way they don’t speak English. I get it up until trump made it a thing the U.S didn’t have a national language but that Doesn’t make it smart to come here and not speak a word of it. I could drink at home til I blackout every night there’s no laws against that but that don’t mean I should do it. Same thing with speaking English sure u don’t need to but it would be smart if u did
bobbabson@reddit
Reform? Never gonna happen, we had a chance back in the early 2000s and that chance ain't coming back in the current political climate. All we are going to do is put a bandaid on the problem and call it a day lole we normally do

Deficit is Congress issue, both Biden and Trump agreed to compromise on that to push their agenda. Deficit remains the same because cutting benefit and/or raising taxes is unpopular in Congress.
There is no new tax cut in OBBB except on tips which is insignificant. The success was making tax cut from 2017 permanent, otherwise it would expire in 2026.
Tariffs have mild impact on inflation so far, that is quite a surprise honestly.
