Taiwan prosecutors' intellectual property branch said Lo is suspected of violating Taiwan's National Security Act.

On Wednesday afternoon investigators, acting on a search warrant, searched two of Lo's homes, seizing computers, USB drives and other evidence, prosecutors said.

A court also approved a petition to seize his shares and real estate

Yeah, Taiwan is taking this extremely seriously, like a matter of national security seriously, he's likely going to face some sort of treason charge and extradition for all those dismissing this as something to do with noncompete clauses and California civil law.

Let them try to extradite a US citizen who worked for Intel for nearly two decades for Intel prior to TSMC. Taiwan can pound sand here.

I think the US Taiwan relationship is the important factor here, not his citizenship.
