Yeah, Taiwan is taking this extremely seriously, like a matter of national security seriously, he's likely going to face some sort of treason charge and extradition for all those dismissing this as something to do with noncompete clauses and California civil law.

Let them try to extradite a US citizen who worked for Intel for nearly two decades for Intel prior to TSMC. Taiwan can pound sand here.

I think the US Taiwan relationship is the important factor here, not his citizenship.
