We watched it after dinner. Family members that usually would have left sooner actually sat down and stayed once they saw what we had on. It was nice.

You bet your ass I did...and I very nearly didn't silently weep for a world gone dark in John Candy's absence.

Watched Son-In-Law last night thanks to a recommendation from a friend since it's centered around Thanksgiving. Classic Pauley Shore.
CaptainAccurate4925@reddit
Pauly Shore at his peak, in the 90s.......

It's my favorite Thanksgiving movie! I saw it in theaters thirty-eight years ago, when I was fifteen years old, and have watched it a countless number of times since then.
The-Sarlacc-Pit@reddit
Just finished it! An annual tradition.

Watched it last night right after Charlie Brown.
I loved this movie so much growing up. it was the first R rated movie I saw. And first I owned. My parents bought the VHS tape for me when I was like 7. My mom would always try to fast forward through the rental car scene but wasn't very good at it.
jawnbaejaeger@reddit
Such a fun movie!
