What do I need to be able to take my atp written.

I’m a part 61 guy and cfi/I and I’m approaching 1300 hours. Can I just got take the written after 1500? Do I need a specific endorsement? Is it pretty much the same rigamarole? Like I just call shepherd air and go take it in a sweaty computer room?

Uh, no. You need to take the ATP-CTP course for your ATP Multi written test.

I did ATP-CTP with Atlas and 10/10 experience. Most people that I bumped into didn't even know the company offered it. The course doesn't prepare you for the written but from start to finish, they treated you like new hires on the 74. They even said the sim is available anytime if we're ever in Miami and want to get a few more touch and goes in the -200. Plus it was the cheapest course I found. Highly recommend

It was awesome. Taught by 2 aged-out check airmen who still love to fly the 747. The -200 rarely gets used apparently so the ATP-CTP course keeps the lights on for it

We pretty much only use it to train the air force 1 guys. That's really cool we do that, I had no idea

If you’re at a smaller outstation, it’s possible the ground crew is having a dinner for those working. I have no doubt you’d be welcome if you asked. We certainly would have welcomed the extra company when I was a ramp rat.

My ACMI company contracts nearly everything, we don't really have the same thing that pax carriers do.

A lot of CFI is spoon feed the same standard curriculum that the school handed you in binder without ever giving a thought to the regs or ACS
