In the first second of this video; double reverse shoulder replacement surgery. If I fall asleep with my arms above my head, sometimes my shoulders don't work right or at all the next day.
I woke up the other day with my hamstring absolutely FROZEN and painful to the point I couldn’t walk without crutches. Absolutely no idea what I did but I was incapacitated. Sat down for dinner that night and when I stood up, it was fine.
I've farted like that a few times. There were other times when a fart failed to wake me up but smelled so bad it affected the dream I was having at the moment.
I'm in my mid 40's and played a lot of hockey and baseball. I'm still in good shape but when it comes to those sports I don't have an off button, I just go hard.
My wife won't let me play beer league hockey anymore. She's alright with baseball still as long as it's a 40+ league.....
I did not want to buy a new car but the old one just stopped. On the plus side all the safety monitors of blind spots and full camera surrounds has made my neck stop hurting when I drive.
As a guy who’s 45 and takes fitness very seriously I’m kind of sick of you people doing this over and over. Bitching and complaining talking about how you’re all broken down and creaking and shit like that. Get off your fat asses and do something holy shit.
Yeahhhh I'm no poster child of health and I'm wondering if I'm doing something right or reddit millenials are just people like the WoW guy from south Park
Haha I suppose so. My metabolism was insane in my youth. I wouldnt jack. On the bad side though, putting muscle on was VERY difficult. Then Id lose it all in weeks when Id stop constantly eating.
Yeah. If you haven't been taking care of yourself in life, like eating right, getting enough sleep, and of course exercise, your 40s are when things start to break.
If you've never farted yourself awake, let me illustrate.
So, I've had dogs my entire life. They often fart themselves awake and look at me as though I should have some spiritual guidance for the situation. But I had never had the experience myself, until this one time about 10 years ago. Imagine coming out of a deep sleep by means of what can only be described as "an explosive sensation". Like, you don't feel the fart itself, nor hear it. But rather there is an explosive sensation and as you're in a delirium, your dog is staring at you, like "what gives?" Then you figure it out and wonder what you've been doing all your life.
I miss doing crazy sports stuff and never having injuries. It's catching up with me now though. Push too hard and I'm out for a few weeks of recovery. Soccer, and also right arm throwing for all those years, threw my whole right side out of whack. Working mostly on pilates-types of core stabilizing these days. Aaaand not sitting at a computer for 8-12 hours a day... stand up desks are nice. If only I'd believed adults about nutrition...
Around 35, I heard a line from a poet I think, "...the engines of youth slow down." Or something like that. Definitely experiencing exactly that for the past 7 years. Nature is like, "okay good luck my friend, you're on your own now"

I slept wrong and hurt my rotator cuff. It took 10 months to recover.

The other week I got a weird extremely painful cramp in my ribcage area from wiping my butthole after pooping.
kenthels@reddit
Staying in shape is easier then getting on shape.
xRVAx@reddit
Have you ever looked up at the shower head and hurt your neck in the process?
Adrasteia-One@reddit
Haha, similar. I was driving and turned to look at my blind spot, and that did it.

I still do parkour at almost 43.
Not like that guy, I have always been mediocre, but stop. I’m planning to do another Tough Mudder in the summer

I have farted my back ouf, shit's rough
GenericDave65@reddit
I just had a hiccup that threw my shoulder out
Aznightwalker@reddit
Not normal. Most should feel fine in their 40s.
degeneratesumbitch@reddit
I got worked like a rented mule in my 20s and 30s. My carcass is pretty much fucked.
Aznightwalker@reddit
So essentially self inflicted.

Are you a TOFI? Thin on the outside fat on the inside

TOFI is a real thing lol

Probably the latter. Im a reddit outlier. I am a minority.
DeSota@reddit
Well, I'd say accidentally hurting your back is more normal than what the guy at the start of the video did!

I just thought it was funny, and people here might find it amusing.

Its not unfunny its just a really common post. So i felt like giving an anecdotal response

I got told i needed a knee replacement by 45. Decided to focus more on physical health and now it seems I've pushed the needle back on that timeline.

I crashed the shit out of snowmobiles and ATVs and I'd just get up like it was nothing. Today, it would probably break all my bones
