I am still excited about big odometer rollovers, even though I don't get to see all the individual digits rollover any more.

2009 Honda CRV hot 200k this morning on my way to work. Been looking forward to it for a few months… 🤔 I really need more excitement in my life.

My 2015 Corolla is about to hit 200K. I’ve got about 400 miles to go.

I can’t even see my odometer until after I turn off the car and it gives me a summary of my driving stats. I guess car manufacturers decided there was no reason I might want to see the odometer while I was driving.

Remember when you used to use it to count the miles to your next maneuver on your printed out Mapquest directions?

That’s what the trip odometer was for. Press the little button sticking out of the gauge cluster to reset it as needed.

My first car was a 1972 Ford F250, no trip in that shit

I live in a harsher climate most of my vehicles have packed it in around 200000km/124274.238mi, head gasket, accident, rust, transmission etc.

My 2015 Mazda just hit 140,000 yesterday, and I happened to notice it when it changed over :)

I’m at 170k and some change. Going for at least 300k. My truck is the only new vehicle I’ve ever bought and all the miles except the first 40 are mine. Drive it till it dies baby!!

Not me. That's just signaling added maintenance and depreciation.
Or perhaps it's a metaphor....
