Looks much thinner. I wish mine were like this.

Maybe data center variants where people don’t really care for gamer design or branding. Who knows. If it’s an authentic purchase it would have come with box, warranty card, etc.

You can't run a consumer NVidia card in a datacenter.
opi098514@reddit
Oh you can. I promise.
mastercoder123@reddit
You can run whatever the fuck you want wherever

Life, uh, finds a way.

I'm sure somebody in China has tried it. Between GPU shortages, Bitcoin and AI hype, and import/export restrictions, they've been motivated.
fuutott@reddit
Not just tried. There is a whole industry. Buying up high end cards. Smuggling. Rebuilding on a new pcb. Adding more vram if they are lucky with the bios.
Robot_Graffiti@reddit
I've seen old gpus with doubled vram on AliExpress

I saw a lot of listings for these, but they don't seem to come from any major manufacturer and the lack of branding except the weird nvidia logo is kind of suspicious. Are these modded cards using a custom blower fan?

Got a link? More info helps

Two random examples with slightly different coolers: https://www.ebay.com/itm/136219558110 https://www.ebay.com/itm/136219558110

why tho? these are overpriced.
tehinterwebs56@reddit
I can fit 4 of these in a threadripper build with a 100gb network card gaming cards are 3slot and above which wastes pcie slots.
CKtalon@reddit
Blower cards are almost always for AI use, so it incurs a hefty premium. And buyers of these will usually buy several of them at once.

If you showed the sticker on either the box or the PCB your question could be answered immediately.
Manufacturers have been building generic blower models of Nvidia cards for a very long time.
aeroumbria@reddit (OP)
Yeah, I would assume the PCB must have come from a real manufacturer, just not quite sure if it was a genuine design or modded after the fact. It does seem like this generic design might actually be real.
fallingdowndizzyvr@reddit
The "real manufacturer" is just some company in China. Which is the same "real manufacturer" that modders have build their custom PCBs.

I don't have any 30+ series like these but I have a few 2080 Ti blowers manufactured by PNY and they are entirely free of branding and look like the above, although they lack the fan logo.
