Some context: Tens of thousands of Alawites across Latakia, Homs and Tartous gathered jn peaceful protests against continous killings, kidnappings and random dismissal of Alawites from their jobs as well as freedom for more than 9000 Alawites that are being prisoned without a trial for almost a year now (The number is from the Syiran Observarotry for Human Rights). Supporters of the governmet tried to run protestors over with cars and later at night entered Alawites' neighbourhood cussing them and breaking the cars they pass along.

Both Arabic and western media are ignoring this genocide and i was heavily downvoted on r/Syria and r/Syriancivilwar for calling out government violence against us, i guess what they say is true, "no jews no news".

According to the description of OP they tried to seperate the 2 crowds. That sounds like a good thing. It means they try to protect alawites against an angry mob of the majority group.
If that description is true, the damage that was done waa done despite the government, not because of it.

Later at night the security forces randomly arrested young men from alawite neighbourhoods. And they accompnied muslim sunni groups who stood in the street and started laughing while launching fireworks randomly at Alawite homes. One of the main points of the protests was the random killings and arrests that are being carried on by the government and its forces.

Exactly. There are videos of security personnel protecting protestors, something unimaginable during Assad’s rule. See: https://xcancel.com/k7ybnd99/status/1993326619994341609#m And this: https://xcancel.com/Magedabdelnour1/status/1993281703713067106#m

“genocide” you dont know what that word even means, and of course an Assad worshipper like you is going to get downvoted

Sorry, I'm not sure if I'm understanding this correctly (which I guess might be the point behind the headline's choice of words) - did the security forces shoot the protesters? Is that what happened?

Weird. I thought al-Sharaa wanted a decentralised Syria, too.
Is there anything going on here besides revenge against Assad's nominal people? I'm not tracking a lot of claims about them being heretical or apostates or whatever. So that gives me hope that eventually people will stop.
Look, it's not a lot, but hope is where you find it.

Telling how the two responses you got are; "Nothing bad happened" and "War crimes are happening".
I know going with the law of averages is often a fallacy in such a situation, but I'm still gonna guess the "truth" is somewhere along the lines of something happened and it probably involved crimes.

The protests were mostly peaceful and security personnel were protecting them. They were forced to disperse them to prevent violence between rival protests, as per the article. Videos from the protests: https://xcancel.com/k7ybnd99/status/1993326619994341609#m

I've posted a bit of what's been going on on my profile. It's not even revenge acts, because they are msotly going after civilians from minorities. There are more than 60 Alawite woman that has been taken as "war-spoils" and forced to wed Muslim men. Every single day there are people being killed just because they belong to a minority. Thousands of Alawites workers were also fired from their jobs for no reason. According to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, there are over 9000 Alawites in prisons without trials and for over a year now.
