Why these are events that nobody likes to talk about?

This whole stupid fucking war in Kosovo could have been avoided if the Autonomy Kosovo had from the 1974 constitution was never abolished after Tito's death.
Milosevic's retarded decisions to abolish it guaranteed a war would definently break out. He literaly took the worst option that he could.
Careless-Event2882@reddit
Maybe, but demonstrations from 1980 and 1968 tells us different story.
Raxuladrink@reddit
The constitution was made in 1974, so the protests in 1968 were dealt with. And the one in 1981 originaly started with a student protest in the University of Pristina because of its poor state(since Kosovo was the poorest region of Yugoslavia, and an economic crisis has started to grow) then it became a protest for more rights, representation, more investements but a very small minority actually wanted independence from Yugoslavia.
Careless-Event2882@reddit
In '80s presidents and prime ministers where almost exclusively Albanians, the SAP Kosovo and Metohija was the biggest net reciever of common help i SFRY.
alpidzonka@reddit
Yeah and they want to become a republic, like the status Montenegro enjoyed while it had a third of Kosovo's population. I don't see the issue.
Careless-Event2882@reddit
Of course you don't. Anyway, majority of policemen from the video are Albanians
alpidzonka@reddit
That changes everything /s
ElderCursive@reddit
It was never like that, mate. Kosove was one of the poorest regions of Yugoslavia, and the population was treated horrendously there by the Serbian chauvinists since the Balkan wars, when the territory was taken from the Ottomans. Need to ask the people who lived there how they were treated in the daily basics, as second-class citizens. It was a matter of time since the war erupted in Kosove
mamlazmamlazic@reddit
No, it wouldn't. Even in seventies in Kosovo it was openly talked about path to secession from SFRJ.
branimir2208@reddit
It wouldn't. State would collapse no matter what, 1981 protest showed that.
ConfusedAdmin53@reddit
I remember back in the day "Tito! Partija! Kosovo republika!" was a popular slogan.
Feisty_Box6371@reddit
The avoidance and denial just in this comment thread is disturbing. Humanity over everything, ladies and gents
Candid_Company_3289@reddit
Humanity yes, albanianity no
ToughEducation3001@reddit
Tell that to your terrorist organisation UCK.
Feisty_Box6371@reddit
My friend, it is time to grow up. When something horrible is done it must be acknowledged and atoned for - not just what aboutisms as a dodge to protect your fragile ego. Whenever I see a fellow Albanian/s doing anything harmful i call that out as well. Good day.
ToughEducation3001@reddit
Tell me about horrible things. Im refugee from Kosovo and Metohija. Good day
ElderCursive@reddit
Yeah tell that to 800 people that were refugees from Kosove and their houses burned to the ground
ToughEducation3001@reddit
The same refugees who escaped from Enver Hoxa to Yugoslavia? They had very warm welcome but it was mistake.
Another genocide? Just like massacre in Račak? You fuking liar. Whats next to lie about? That you built thousands of monasteries and churches? Oh wait, you are alredy lieing about that also 🤡🤡🤡
One day boy we will meet on Kosovo and Metohija once again 🤫
ElderCursive@reddit
You’re repeating the same recycled propaganda without a single fact behind it. Albanians fleeing Enver Hoxha didn’t “get a warm welcome” — they were imprisoned, pressured to declare themselves “Muslim Slavs,” and many disappeared. That’s not a “welcome,” that’s coercion. The OSCE and international forensic teams investigated Recak, all confirming it was a massacre.
Your denial changes nothing. And talking about “meeting in Kosovo” as if it were some dramatic movie line won’t rewrite history, nor the reality that Kosovo’s status is decided by people smarter and calmer than internet tough guys. If you have arguments, bring them.
If all you’ve got is emojis and threats, you’ve already lost the debate.
ToughEducation3001@reddit
It never happened. It was dead UCK soldiers dressed as civilians.
https://allaboutserbia.quora.com/https-ukraineuncensored-quora-com-The-CIAs-Racak-Massacre-Hoax
Reallity is changable very easy Maybe not now or in ten years, but who knows ehats goma happen in next 50years boy.
Lies again. I lived in Kosovo and Metohija long enuf to know the truth boy. You can tell those lies to foreign people like you do here on reddit. They will belive you probably.
Even today *Kosovo is terrorist state running on drug bussiness, kidnaping and organ trafficking, just like UCK funded their terrorism.
Even for fuking americans it was on top of the list of terrorist organisation.
Our monasteries and chirches tells complete story about Kosovo and Metohija. You cant denied it boy, you are intruder. You are imposter on serbian land. See ya down there, sooner than you think.
Citaku357@reddit
Lmao you think you can take Kosovo back? Come and try it
Cope and fucking seethe harder please, Kosovo is independent and there nothing you and other Serbs crying in these comments can do
ElderCursive@reddit
He can't take it back because this time he will not find unprepared villagers like in the '90. They tried in Banjska and ended up in a ditch like pigs. While the others fled to their Albanian daddy, Aleks Muslia
Citaku357@reddit
Exactly they won't be fighting civilians like savages anymore.
ElderCursive@reddit
You are yapping a lot from your mother's basement without any proof but SNS propaganda spoon-fed to you, boy.
Nothing will happen you tried in Banjska and ended up dead in the ditch with a bullet in the head.
The only thing you are good at is fighting against women and children.
Don't send me links from Serbian bot farms. If you want to deny, go tell that to the families of the victim's boy and see if you will get back alive to the shithole in Serbia where you come from.
Your monasteries don't matter more than the will of the people; keep living in the fairytales.
Kosove is free and soon Aleks Muslia will open the Kosove embassy in Belgrade

ToughEducation3001@reddit
Significant-Yam9843@reddit
What was that? Could you explain that to a Brazilian, please?
Candid_Company_3289@reddit
Cry about it
Attack_na_battak@reddit
Lets talk about choosing a start point in history which is most appropriate for somebody...
looooong_dick@reddit
There is a narrative that Serbs are the bad guys, although the West had formed a terrorist organization that had committed so many crimes against the Serbs and seceded a part of Serbian territory. Lies that were spoken against the Serbs were used to justify the aggression and bombing of Serbia. That's what you get when you oppose Western globalist machinery.
NuclearDisaster5@reddit
And they are. Just like Germans in WWII, Russians now, Americans in Iraq etc... There is always a bad guy, and this is not a difference.
Serbs are the major source of destabilisation in the balkan region. Even today with their ''Serbian world'' wanna be ''Russian world''. The narrative is the same.
ToughEducation3001@reddit
You say Iraq? Iraq's chemical weapons that are used on civilians? That shit didnt happen, it was fake story or cassius bell for americans to invade sovereign country. Btw Saddam was supported by US to invade islamist Iran after islamic revolution in that country. Actually, they funded both sides. Divide and conqyer
Serbian people is the main reason that you can call yourself as Croat. We gave you freeeom boy. Remember that. You start breaking Yugoslavia, not Serbs.
Few months ago there were 500.000 croats cheering NAZI salute from WW2. And you call Serbs source of destabilisation? 🤡🤡
NuclearDisaster5@reddit
Jebeni nacisti.
russianwarrior47@reddit
Yeah, Serbia has its issues , no argument there. But at least we didn’t pack a stadium with people singing fascist nostalgia like it’s a Eurovision entry. Maybe fix the "half a million people at a Ustaša concert" problem before giving lectures on who destabilises the Balkans.
NuclearDisaster5@reddit
Here we go again... ''But at least we...''.
People on that concert aren't Ustasha, those same people are going to listen ''Cajka'' the next weekend comes. Does that make them Cetnicks? Cmn... The mental gimnastic your propaganda is stuffing you down the throat is on epic scale.
Those people don't even know what where they shouting, more then half where from Germany, Austria, BiH.
I know people from Serbia that where working there on selling drinks, saying that there wasn't a single problem with people hearing their accent. Which I strongly believe because our shore is filled with people from Serbia working there.
So keep you Vucic propaganda and show it deep, deep down...
russianwarrior47@reddit
Wild stuff. A crowd answers a fascist salute, but apparently it doesn’t count because they also listen to cajke on weekends. And they ‘didn’t know’ what they were shouting, at a nostalgia concert built on exactly that. Sure.
Meanwhile, while half a million Croats bend over bacwards to sanitise that scene, over a million in Serbia are out on the streets tearing into their own government. For all our issues, at least there’s an actual appetite to face the past and the present instead of inventing excuses for it.
NuclearDisaster5@reddit
I know people that where on the concert and the next weekend they were listening to Baja Mali Knindza... What does that say?
Tell me, why are those 1 milion tearing down a government with ''veterans'' from past wars? Veterans from a attacking war on other countries? When they are taking down a government with people that were active persons in the wars.
When you take down Vucic, who is going to take over? Like with Milosevic, after MIlosevic the same people that were his right hand took over the government.
russianwarrior47@reddit
Ah yes, peak Balkan logic: “My friends shouted a fascist salute… but relax, they also listen to a wartime singer, so it cancels out.” What does that say? Exactly what you’re trying not to admit.
And the protest take, please 😂. When a million people hit the streets, of course veterans show up. That’s how mass movements work. It doesn’t erase the fact that people are fed up with corruption, crime, and a state run like a private company.
As for “who takes over after Vučić?” So the strategy is: “Never protest anything because someone I don’t like might win next.” Perfect logic, I aplaud you.
If your big argument is that a fascist salute becomes harmless thanks to a mixed playlist and that protests don’t count because veterans exist… man, this is acrobatics that should get you a sponsorship from Red Bull.
NuclearDisaster5@reddit
"Ah yes, peak Balkan logic: “My friends shouted a fascist salute… but relax, they also listen to a wartime singer, so it cancels out.” What does that say? Exactly what you’re trying not to admit."
Tapkaj, tapkaj...
Nema tu akrobatike. Cista logika.
russianwarrior47@reddit
NuclearDisaster5@reddit
Opaaaa... evo nas. To je to.
Tapkamo, tapkamo, tapkamo... drugi idu naprijed. Okruzeni Europom a u glavi rupa, supljina.
looooong_dick@reddit
It's actually quite the opposite, it is the Albanians who are trying to take over serbian territory by breaking all possible international laws.
NuclearDisaster5@reddit
This is the most dumb think I have read here? How is Kosovo Serbian territory? The thing where the ''Serbian world'' says... where one serbian lives... that is serbian land doesnt do anygood.
looooong_dick@reddit
Always had been, always will be. By law, by history, by sanctuaries, by everything.
NuclearDisaster5@reddit
livefromnewyorkcity@reddit
Here we have a servian bot paid by Vucic to perpetuate the propaganda narrative and reinforce the stereotypes that Serbs that follow his regime are truly pathetic
Alex_1729@reddit
If you think Serbs like Vucic you are sorely mistaken.
livefromnewyorkcity@reddit
They may not like him has a person but Serbs do like the rhetoric, racism, orthodox supremacy that his and the previous regime perpetuate. So what is your point?
Alex_1729@reddit
The only people who can generalize on the entire nations like this are the most bigoted people, and the ignorant ones. So the more you hate on nations like this, the more you become the same stereotype you hate.
livefromnewyorkcity@reddit
Here comes the righteous bot.
Own_Information3154@reddit
you see, exactly this, you guys are not ready to talk about this
looooong_dick@reddit
Does it seem normal to you that some ethnic group just illegally steals territory from another country in EU? Would it sound ok that some Turks from Germany decided to take one part of Germany and make it a separate country, by killing Germans over there?
Own_Information3154@reddit
Still, you are in the brainwash narrative; I can't help you out. It is the same narrative that is keeping Vucic in power. It is the same power that was terrorizing local populations. Now that nobody is left to terrorize, they are terrorizing their own folks. When I say good luck, I mean it. You need to get free from those fascists scums ruling your country.
looooong_dick@reddit
Nope, Vucic is a traitor, who gave power to Albanians on Kosovo. Before Vucic there were Serbian license plates on Kosovo, serbian institutions, serbian powerplant, laws...Now he gave them everything, as he is corrupted traitor.
Own_Information3154@reddit
So you think anybody in Kosovo asked Vucic what to do?
looooong_dick@reddit
Kosovo and Metohija is Serbian holy land, it is not called "heart of Serbia" for no reason. Currently it is occupied by NATO, used as a geostrategic position with Bondsteel military base, and also as "crime country" for drugs trafficking. But this period is just a fart in the wind period, in the future it will al be taken care of, and Serbian population will be restored there.
Own_Information3154@reddit
as I said best of luck for you in tralaland
baba_yt123@reddit
Is this what you think when you go to sleep
PasicT@reddit
They largely were the bad guys and not just in Kosovo.
Unable-Stay-6478@reddit
Ah, there you are.
17lej@reddit
What ethnicity were the majority of the civilian victims of the bombing and where exactly were most of the bombs dropped??
CompleteAnimal4606@reddit (OP)
No, this is when Kosovo's autonomy was revoked.
BurekMaster1990@reddit
Don't bother explaining these 2002 born people what a Timeline is. They think everything started with Nato, not because they themselves brought Milosevic to power.
Same is happening now with Vucic.
HighlanderMX4@reddit
Here we clearly have an example of a total innocent redditor falling in a glass bottle.
mamlazmamlazic@reddit
What do you mean "nobody talks about this"?
Oh, you mean you didn't see something about that today and you think "Serbian propaganda is talking over"? Accepted narrative is that that Kosovo Albanians were oppressed by Serbs from the 6th century on. What else is there to be said?
First-Egg-713@reddit
They mean the build up to what happened with Kosovo in the 90s is not talked about, and they are right.
How kosovo was handled by milosevic and his party after titos deaths was stupid and the direct cause of the conflict in the 90s. The lowest iq way possible to deal with a disgruntled region.
If the status quo on autonomy kosovo had under tito was maintained, kosvo would today still be part of serbia.
TranslatorLivid685@reddit
You litteraly described Kiev's actions toward Donbass and any other who were not happy with the coup in 2014 wich was planned, coordinated and sponsored by USA.
First-Egg-713@reddit
How? The people of the donbas voted in 1990 or whenever the ussr broke up to NOT be autonomous from ukraine… What are you even talking about?
TranslatorLivid685@reddit
Donbass has never had the status of autonomy (unlike Crimea) and therefore could not vote for the rejection of autonomy.
You are probably talking about the referendum in Donbas on March 27, 1994?
Yes. There was such. Only there people voted "FOR" obtaining the status of autonomy.
Details:
The population voted for:
Recognition of the Russian language as the second state language
The autonomy of Donbass
Strengthening geopolitical ties with Russia
Initiators: Regional councils and social movements of Donbass, dissatisfied with the central Ukrainian government
Results:
In the Donetsk region:
84% of voters voted for autonomy (76% turnout)
In the Luhansk region:
78% of voters voted for autonomy.
As you can understand no autonomy from Kiev followed after that.
rumpsmasher@reddit
If such a referendum happened it was set up by insane people or russian agents. 2 out of 3 questions have no place on a regional referendum. If you want to affect foreign policy through referendum, that can only be a nationwide one.
TranslatorLivid685@reddit
Ok.
And what would you say about the referendum on Kosovo's independence, which was held in 1991 on the territory of the province itself, and it was recognized by Albania?
These were also "insane people or ~~russian~~ western\albanian agents"?
Or "It's different"(c) ?:)
First-Egg-713@reddit
Im unaware of any 94 referendum the people of the donbas when the ussr collapsed voted overwhelmingly for ukraine to be independent of russia.
Why would they do that and then change their minds?
TranslatorLivid685@reddit
Maybe because after the coup in 2014 nazis came to power in Kiev and start pressing them?
mamlazmamlazic@reddit
I don't know where you are from but I can say that you don't know what was going on in Kosovo 30-40 years prior to war breaking out. To say that's it was more messy than Bosnia and Herzegovina today would be ridiculous understatement.
vladedivac12@reddit
Well he's not wrong that Milosevic miscalculated his moves, pretty much during the whole 90s. His bet was that since Serbs were a majority in Ex Yugoslavia and they controlled most of the government bodies including JNA, he could use force to achieve his goals. At the end of the day, it backfired. Tudjman beat him at chess.
International_Cake70@reddit
Serbs were never the majority in Yugoslavia. Only a plurality. But yes, they did disproportionately control the government bodies, which led to major resentment from the other ethnic groups, which led to....well, you know.
vladedivac12@reddit
Historical-Ant-512@reddit
wait... what is "yugoslavs"?? wtf? :))
Unable-Stay-6478@reddit
Those are normal people.
Historical-Ant-512@reddit
i'm sure all of the above are. but what ethnicity are they? an ethnicity defines a distinct nationality. if yugoslav had serbian, croatian, albanian etc... then yugoslav is not really an ethnicity is it?
Secure-Juice-5231@reddit
My parents identified as Yogoslav. There was an affidavit that you could sign, upon request, that made you ethnically Yugoslav.
Unable-Stay-6478@reddit
Most likely someone that didn't want to associate with any of the banana republics after the war. Serbo-Croatian speaking person, most likely.
vladedivac12@reddit
people who considered themselves yugoslavs, usually from mixed families.
Historical-Ant-512@reddit
this is actually a legitimate, normal answer. well done sir. well done.
International_Cake70@reddit
Yes, that graph proves my point exactly. Serbs made up a plurality. To be the majority ethnic group in Yugoslavia, they'd have to make up over 50% of the population.
livefromnewyorkcity@reddit
Your lack of education is not shocking.
vladedivac12@reddit
here's the chronology
First-Egg-713@reddit
A list doesnt describe anything lol… actually look into why it was that the students in prishtina began protesting after tito and the response to that by the serbian govt.
Anyways i dont really care to get into a debate about this here, but if you genuinely think milosevic was right in how he handled the kosovo unrest during the 80s then debate isnt even needed lol.
Unable-Stay-6478@reddit
Many crucial thing are missing in that list.
mamlazmamlazic@reddit
I don't know where you are from but I can say that you don't know what was going on in Kosovo 30-40 years prior to war breaking out. To say that's it was more messy than Bosnia and Herzegovina today would be ridiculous understatement.

You do know? I'm shocked
Slow_Touch2202@reddit
Maybe because majority of the people don't speak this language so they don't know what the hell is going on.
