Not knowing what NES is hurts my soul
FalseQuestion7864@reddit
How's it possible to play this in Kindergarten... it didn't come out until like 1986... I was in 3rd or 4th grade at the time.
aerodeck@reddit
It’s bait
SlackerDS5@reddit
Famicom?
Buderus69@reddit (OP)
Famicom is a toploader not a frontloader and has wired controllers
maggie320@reddit
Question for everyone. Which Mario was the best? The OG with Duck Hunt, Super Mario 2, or Super Mario 3? I’ve never played 2.
xChillPenguinx@reddit
3 is considered the best, but I like all of them and still play them to this day. Heads up, though, they are all very different from one another, unlike video game sequels these days.
Buderus69@reddit (OP)
They are all great, but three is masterfully made
S_A_R_K@reddit
3

Rage bait shit post.

New_Stats@reddit
I played this in kindergarten, it was brand spanking new

Did you die because they didn’t know what it was called? Or did you die because they clearly can be bothered to read it in the picture they replied to?
Buderus69@reddit (OP)
Both, a roundhousekick of death
ryhoyarbie@reddit
It’s the game system where you shoot the dog laughing at you for missing ducks.
S_A_R_K@reddit
I can hear that laugh even now
C0BRA_V1P3R@reddit
I hated the Duck Hunt dog with a passion, so it was very satisfying being able to beat him up when he showed up as a playable character in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.
Aromatic_Steak_196@reddit
I'm not the only one who did this?!
DrummerGuy06@reddit
...and even if you hit the ducks dead-on, the gun-controller would malfunction or break and the hit wouldn't count.
Kids today don't know how infuriating it was when things didn't work and there was no fix for it.
MetricJester@reddit
What kind of tv did you have growing up?
S_A_R_K@reddit
Super Mario 3 is one of my favorite games ever
Kade7596@reddit
especially when the words are literally in the picture

What was the name of that Italian plumber character though? He was fun!

Because they're ignorant, or illiterate?
bitsy88@reddit
elkniodaphs@reddit
That's how you know it's rage bait.
Cinderhazed15@reddit
Came here to say this
briman2021@reddit
Its funny too, because when I was a kid every adult called everything a Nintendo. Atari? Its a Nintendo. Game gear? Some sort of portable Nintendo. New Sony PlayStation coming out? "I didn't know Sony made Nintendo's"
GenWRXr@reddit
It’s a Neo Geo
Buderus69@reddit (OP)
NeoGeo Entertainment System

... and we'd all gather in the parlor to listen to the adventure serials on the wireless...
That's us now.
jar36@reddit
yeah, it's sad how some people have trouble reading
Dimplefrom-YA@reddit
can i smack that person with a mushroom?
dreadpiratemyk@reddit
This is like boomers making fun of their own kids for not knowing how to drive a stick. Did you teach them? Nintendo doesn't license a lot of shit for phones so it kinda makes sense they're not exposed. I have two that work just fine.
-Xennial with 10yo grandkids who love NES
Buderus69@reddit (OP)
Who does this compare on this context? The person in the comment clearly played the console.
If the kid in your boomer analogy clearly had driven with a stick car, then yes, you can make fun of that person not knowing how to use the stick the had used before? It's a supbar comparison anyway, like comparing the simpsons to driving stick... What does that even mean?
The person in that comment is also not a 10yo child, as far as I can tell the person is 26 or older. The topic of that post was "I am this old" and everybody having a dick measuring contest what their oldest windows version was, pong, etc... Which brings us to here
GalaxyRedRanger@reddit
It’s called “The Nintendo.”
None of this NES or Entertainment System crap. It was the Nintendo.
ShelleyMonique@reddit
It's called an Intendo according to parents in the 80's
BeardiusMaximus7@reddit
Inexcusable.
The name is printed right on the front of the damn thing.
This HAS to be rage bait.
Buderus69@reddit (OP)
Certainly got my blood pumping, so I don't know...
Separate_Counter9427@reddit
Look at the fancy composite connection. Did that even exist in the late 80s/early 90s?
I remember it being connected through coax.
Nonsenseinabag@reddit
I bought mine in '90 and it had them on the side, but I never used them. It came with the coax connector, too.
UTALR1@reddit
Still the greatest system ever made
butt_honcho@reddit
I mean, I played it in kindergarten too.
