Great shot. But damn do I absolutely hate that hotel

What’s wrong with it?

Their average price is $400-500/night and they don’t hesitate to jump to $800 on peak days or $1500 during weather irops.
And not a single one of their rooms are worth any of those prices. So damn noisy from the street noise below and cop sirens policing traffic. No door on shower so it’s super cold and the floor gets soaked. No closet. Sheets and pillows are super thin and uncomfortable. Rooms with adjoining doors can hear EVERYTHING next door, every single word said. Fridges are either disabled or locked, only a few actually work. Food is heavily overpriced. And they often instill reservations to the rooftop pool and bar so you can’t just freely visit.
They think they’re entitled to an up charge for the TWA name without providing quality product.

Sounds like every NYC hotel I’ve ever stayed in!

Most hotels go for $250 and can peak at $400. TWA likes to start at $400 and offer so much less

I know I might be odd, but it always sits wrong with me when somebody calls the Lockheed L-1649A just a 'Connie'. I know they're the end-of-the-line development of the family, but they were given their own names - Starliner as a whole; or Jetstream specifically when in TWA service.

I miss coming to work for JetBlue in the mornings and seeing this. Used to be a flight attendant with them for twelve years.
