I did a parachute jump once under these conditions. I was the last one out of the plane, so I asked the pilot to dive with me, so we circled around each other. I had just read Lord of the rings, and it felt like I was flying with a dragon. One of my best memories.
At first glance I thought you were saying the pilot jumped out of the plane with you and you guys were having some kind of romantic spin around each other while the plane just kept on going unpiloted. 😂
Humans have yet to understand the mechanics of turning phones sideways to capture and display interesting scenery. Adding black bars to the top and bottom actually doesn't solve anything.
Straight up... "PRICELESS!" 🙏🏾 If YOU don't or refuse to believe that this is NOT by design, then PLEASE by all means do "US" who truly KNOWS it's a "CREATOR" a favor & Kill Yo'Self!! 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
The almost unnatural light on the ground from a total eclipse is something I'll never forget and likely never experience again. I am so glad I was on the ground
kushuu_@reddit
Indian parents would've never allowed their child pilot to perform this lol
meinnamsistjeff@reddit
Wtf does this have to do with Indians or their parents
kushuu_@reddit
haha usually they don't allow their children to be out during eclipses
meinnamsistjeff@reddit
Well aware. Grew up with very Indian parents.
kushuu_@reddit
us bro
meinnamsistjeff@reddit
Nah. Once I became an adult they let me do whatever I wanted. Plus i told them I don’t believe in the dumbass traditions

Fucking goshawks
Pinksters@reddit
They're fine trainer jets.
Ugly as sin but reliable/cheap as hell.
amarras@reddit
ummmmmm
Pinksters@reddit
Hawks are reliable?
For how many thousands of hours that airframe has, it has comparatively low failure rates.
DomFunf@reddit
That jet exhaust will tan you good too

Amazing. Shit music guaranteed, so on mute.
maloikAZ@reddit
Some dueling banjos in there might be dope
Spiral_Slowly@reddit
I unmuted hoping for flying sounds. Was disappointed, yet again.
beginnerflipper@reddit
It was a remix of the JAG theme ofc
CurrentJunior4034@reddit
It was good when it was just M83, then it became starwars and they lost me.
tw0minutehate@reddit
It wouldn't have been that terrible if they just picked a lane lol

The dragon thing cleared it up right, or were you imagining him being in his favorite Trex suit.

Damn, so beautiful.

I'll fly a starship across the universe divide...

Kingsville NAS.
GermaineKitty@reddit
I was going to say these look like the trainers at NAS Kingsville too. My dad was stationed there and retired there too.
Killentyme55@reddit
Kingsville or Meridian MS, not sure why you're getting downvoted.
nighthawke75@reddit
We had overcast skies during the eclipse too.
jay_in_the_pnw@reddit
This music reminds me of the Bill Murray's Star Wars Lounge Singer.

What kind of jets are these?
Is that coast guard insignia?
GuyentificEnqueery@reddit
T-45 Goshawk, one of my favorite lesser-know planes. I especially love the livery.
jay_in_the_pnw@reddit
Boeing T-45 Goshawk developed from a BAE design. Very pretty little trainer, but Navy is now looking for a replacement.
CurrentJunior4034@reddit
thanks!

It looked way cooler from the ground, in Indianapolis. You could see the whisps of the corona. It was awesome.

fortyonethirty2@reddit
When was this filmed?
KM4CK@reddit
More than likely last year during the North American Eclipse
mbashs@reddit
During an eclipse.
Local-Dish-5695@reddit
Idk why but that's unimaginably terrifying.
I'm so used to our perspective that the extrapolation into the space view is jarring.
Just-Context-4703@reddit
God damn
gliwoma@reddit
That's such a stunning view—nature's own eclipse filter!
gliwoma@reddit
Wow, that eclipse peeking through the clouds is mesmerizing. Nature's magic!
