Anyone else watch the syndication run of Mamas Family late 80s / early 90s?

Best show ever

My mom thought this was hilarious. It had its moments. Haven’t seen it since I was a kid so I’m not sure if it’s passed the test of time.

I swear I was brushing my teeth and Mama's Family popped into my head and now I think you can read my brain

Sheeeit. If I'm up at 3am i may be watching this on a janky local nostalgia channel. Usually after an episode of Newhart or something lol

Sometimes there wasn’t a choice so yes

Mama's Family was my absolute favorite sitcom. I adore that show. Even when Mama won the Hawaii trip on Jeopardy.

i just saw that actress in an episode of murder she wrote! it took me way too long to figure out i was used to seeing her in a wig.

Yes, I loved this show. It’s been a good minute since I’ve seen it air on tv .

Got the complete series on dvd as gag Christmas gift last year. I will never watch it.

For about a decade, every Christmas a friend of mine got a copy of Corky Romano.
I could probably talk him into a trade. 😂

The show was more clever and well written / acted than you probably think. Believe me...if I didn't grow up watching it, I'm sure I'd be less willing to give it a chance.
LouBiffo@reddit
I did, but I was much too young to appreciate it.

Mama's Family meant after-school cartoons were over. But it wasn't suppertime yet, though I could smell it on the stove and I would start getting a hunger headache, so I asked my mom how much longer until supper and she would get annoyed with me.
In short, I have a very visceral and specific dislike for this show.

I always loved it growing up. I caught hell for saying this at another time, but I grew up in Connecticut and my grandparents lived in Nashville and I always imagined Raytown was what Nashville was like when I was little.

I would get so annoyed when this was on. I couldn't change the channel fast enough.

My grandma and I didn't agree much but we could sit down together and laugh at this show every time. It has a special place in my heart.

My father watched reruns of this show until his death in 2011. I’d watch it with him when I visited, but haven’t watched it since he passed.

I’m sorry for your loss.

Thank you.
Echterspieler@reddit
I watched reruns of it in like 2003-04

It tripped me out that the house is next to the famous "Halloween Hedge". I've visited it quite a few times. It's in the town of South Pasadena.
mutantbabysnort@reddit
Yes, but I watched way too much tv.
usernames_suck_ok@reddit
I watched it but never clicked with it like some other old shows. Reruns still come on TV, and I am never interested in turning to them.

I watched a shit ton of Carol Burnette growing up. Like the same VHS over and over. Vicki Lawrence would make an appearance pretty often so I loved her too.
I found Mama's Family on Tubi if anyone is looking to get nostalgic!

Yes. It was my sick day from home jam!!!
