My little sister and mother eat their bacon practically oinking and I will never understand it. The crispy bits are what makes the bacon taste good! And the fat is just gross and unpleasant if it isn't brown.

It's cooked, but cold. The canning process cooked it. When you fry it all your doing is heating it and burning the edges crisp (if your lucky that is, armor has so much fat content compared to most brsnds that i can't get it to crisp even after 20 minutes on the pan).
