Bruv, I had one last night, and for the first time in my 55 years of existence, I did not heed its warnings and ended up blistering my lip from the pizza lava.
Lol, I've thankfully never gotten a blister from one, but that reminds me of when I tried a bite from a Hot Pocket for the first time to see why they're so popular, and it fried my tongue.
There has to be some decorum where caviar is concerned. Honestly, next thing you know we will have caviar burritos, ice cream , on a stick , mushroom tea. There is no end to the horrors!
I wanna say I think I saw an Iron Chef where it was savory ice cream topped with caviar soâŠ
But the thing with caviar is that it shares a history of âthrowaway things that are now status symbolsâ. Roes were once treated like offal and considered throwaway.
I enjoy caviar the clsssic way. A smalll Melba toast, a
Swish of mayo, caviar and either tiny diced raw onions or tiny diced hard boiled egg. A perfect bite. Washed down with a very martini. Yum. I know people are paying ooodles of money and taking dull tablespoons of caviar and shoving them in their mouth. Ugg or putting have s tin in a baked potatoe and plopping sour cream on top. Just because you can doesnât mean you should! đ
To your point, Caviar bumps really annoy the fuck out of me fo sho.
Also, my absolute preference are serving them on quality buttermilk blini, a dollop crĂšme fraiche, and bits of egg yolk and white. Also acceptable is really good French butter.
I will say this however, the evolution of food always leaves room for innovation. While I eschew an ingredient being used as a flex, so like, watching David Chang abuse $20k of Kaluga as part of a stoner joke, watching caviar be used thoughtfully, like Eric Riperâs Uni and Beluga pasta, which is a riff on Italian Bottarga pasta, will always have my attention.
I believe we are on the same page. The artfulness and respect of the ingredients is a joy and inspiring. Re: blini and caviar ⊠Iâve not enjoyed it because rhe bilinis were too gluey and didnât mesh well with the caviar texture.
My sodium was 109 like 3 years ago. The doctor was amazed I was still up and talking. I kinda wish I wasnât considering 10 minutes after talking with him the nurse shoved a catheter up my >!dick!<
As much as this seems like a bougie social media flex, this shit actually works really wellâŠ
âŠbut let me be clear. ANY potato chips work brilliantly with caviar. Ruffles Sour Cream and Onion is my preference because of the ridges. The wife loves a good rugged kettle chip. And youâll find some caviar kits that come with snackpacks of Pringles.
Potato chips and caviar actually works pretty well. It sounds "low class" or whatever, but it's not bad as far as taste goes or as a viable vehicle for eating caviar. You're not tainting it with metal utensils, and the crisp saltiness of the chip compliments the caviar.
I would have guessed "never," so any amount is more than I think. The last time I had Beluga caviar it was definitely a tiny toasts and flaked salmon situation.

What Pringle flavor is this (You will be judged)?

I can gauge how this might taste good then. I'd probably do this with the Pizza one đ

It only works if you take a super small bite, whole chip kills the caviar.

I should not have checked the censored word.
weirdoldhobo1978@reddit
Where else did you think they would stick a catheter?
DocFuckinCochran@reddit
There are other types of catheters besides urethral caths.
weirdoldhobo1978@reddit
Well yeah, but if you hear hoof beats it's probably horses.
DocFuckinCochran@reddit
Yeah plus the censor shouldâve been a giveaway

Thereâs a place in Vegas that serves that specifically (Caspianâs in Caesarâs Palace)

Bellagio also has a nice caviar lounge.
Weirdly, Mandalay Bay when I was there had a vodka bar that did some surprisingly decent caviar, even had a happy hour as well.

Caviar with chips and sour cream onion dip is surprisingly meh. Like there were too many things competing all at once.
caelum_daemon@reddit
Put a few on some cheez its and report back. If you can cook, make a savory whipped cream and maybe finish with exactly one (1) tiny piece of dill.
Ronin_1999@reddit
I would go with the white cheddar cheezits, but ya letâs party.

Caviar culture has changed a lot these past 20 years.
At PDT in Manhattan, they used to do caviar with tater tots, and that was just mindblowingly tasty.
