On the opportunity to add a Blackwell Pro 6000 to a home lab

I see the wide 5090 cards can be bought for ~$2000. I assume the 6000 becomes desirable when the cost of multiple narrow style 5090 at $3000 is compared to the 6000. I have no idea what the total system cost is for a complete rig. Comparatively, buying a Mac Studio is a simple processes. Larger MOE models make bigger RAM Macs more interesting. But no one should think that even the M3 Studio is close to the speed of better CUDA cards when running models that fit in the smaller VRAM. The M3 Studio price has also effectively been increased. This summer the entire M3 line with all options was being sold in the refurbished store, meaning that they were selling new overstock. Now instead of dozens of configs in refurbished there is one low end version available.
