I think that gravy train might be done. His last several movies have flopped (Tron Ares, Morbius, Haunted Mansion — which I even forgot he was in), and I can’t imagine the He-Man pic is going to do much better. They can’t even get people to watch the cartoon reboots at home; they aren’t going to go to the theater for it.

The truth is I don’t think he had EVER been the lead in a successful blockbuster. Supporting, yes, but not the lead. His career is kind of mystifying.

I recently rewatched MSCL. I had a crush on him in 1995 too, but his character is horrible. They really overdid the “not book smart” thing. Maybe they planned to develop his character a bit more in future seasons or something. The dude could barely spit out two words. It didn’t come across as cool and aloof, but more like should he be in a special program or something?
