Yes and no. In theory it would be awesome to have a magnified Red Dot on a pistol that was small, but a long one like this with your eyeball up to it and then pulling the trigger says no not a good idea LOL. Depends on how you aim.

Well if it's anything like the 357 DE I use to have I bet it would work great with a scope. I use to hit dead center at 50 yards all the time with mine. I scope would be nice for hunting. If I still had mine I'd carrying it for hunting. I carry a 357 revolver while hunting. I will.be making a scope mount that bolts to the barrel for it this winter. It will look ridiculous but I wanna see what I can make it do at 100 yards.

I'm a little uneducated when it comes to firearm attachments, but in that they are designed to attach to a system that inherently is designed to explode and move alot, do they not have resistance to that kind of abuse? As I think on it, I could see precision equipment being the challenge, as the weapons their designed for are made to be a more stable firing platform, but even then, the design is made for combat, so it HAS to take some damage before being unusable, no? Might not last forever, but what's to stop a good couple mags?

I had one on my 50AE when I bought it, as well as a laser on my 44 Magnum. Neither stayed on there long. More than anything, the scope made it nearly impossible to cycle the slide by hand, and cases were smacking it when they ejected. I do have a scope on my MRI BFR in 500 Magnum. The scope isnt the problem, it is the mount and the rings. I went through two top-strap mounts and a couple of rings before I contacted MRI. They had me use adhesive to glue the mount on in addition to the bo l ts, and use 4 steel scope rings instead of 2 or 3 aluminum ones. Hasn't fallen off yet since I upgraded to glue and 4 steel rings.

I mean, it makes it harder to grab the slide and rack the slide open by hand. Since the scope covers the top of the slide, you have to pinch the slide from behind with your fingers. Maybe you're stronger than me, Im only 5'11" 165lbs, but it is significantly easier to pull the slide back with my whole hand wrapped over the top of the slide than by pinching it from behind.

Burris pistol scopes are pritty damned sturdy but just don’t expect them to last thousands of rounds if it does awesome if it doesn’t that’s to be expected. Also I’ve seen them mounted on bfr’s in 450 Marlin, 45/70, 458 Lott we’re talking some high recoil pistols

The bezel doesn't move so it's okay. The already low recoil is further attenuated with the weight of the scope. The realignment time is, however, longer than with iron sights, especially since I am looking for precision and therefore shoot slowly.

I'd be mildly worried about fireballs coming out of the muzzle and damaging the end of the scope over time. I've never played with a DE so I'm not sure how bad it is. My .500 would cook that bitch xD

Frankly it's fine, the bezel doesn't suffer, the clearance is good, the flashes on the other hand are there, and it's annoying for my eyes in the long run. The 500 I tried a snub version, it’s a dragon 🐉
