The prep they used for mine just said "drink it all and then drink at least another 24 oz of water over the next hour." The one they gave me tasted like somebody mixed flat sprite and mt dew, with an overly generous amount of artificial sweetener.

Eh, I've had worse. It's not like trying to down that horrendously bitter Amoxicillin syrup they used to give us when we were little and had strep throat.

I'm reasonably certain miracles of modern science have made it a LOT easier to give little kids antibiotics, based on my experience with my own kids.

I just had my first one done like 9 days ago and the prep liquid sucked but not as much as people said it might.

The fasting fucking sucked a lot more than the laxative. I can't go long on just the shitty flavors of Jello. Awful.

I was supposed to have this on my most recent procedure but the pharmacy couldn't get the pills so I had to take the god awful liquid version instead....ironically I had the procedure one month ago today.

This is how I did my first one nearly three years ago and will ask for it again next year. It was so easy.

Sure, the prep sucks, the fasting/jello diet sucks, but it's a day plus a few hours of discomfort. You know what sucks worse? Cancer! I'll gladly do this every 3 years for the rest of my life if it detects cancer early.

I was expecting it to be a lot worse than it was. Just putting this out there for anyone who's been putting off getting your first one done. Nothing about it is as bad as you think it's going to be. Not the prep, not the day of not eating, not the procedure. Get it over with and (hopefully) get your peace of mind.
