I recently bought a motherboard used on amazon. I am so upset because after building it the first time, it would not load up. Basically had to rebuild my pc atleast x5 that day to figure out that it was a damn faulty motherboard they sent me. Well now im thinking if I can buy a new one and swap it out? Or just straight up return it and wait doe another good deal. Need your pro tipss

So the whole story:
I ordered a motherboard, it needed a OTP and the delivery driver dropped it off but marked it as customer unavailable and will be re-attempted the next day. Few days past and it shows they bumped into an issue and could not deliver the item and I will be issued a refund. So now when I use the motherboard, the ram slots are cooked and wont work. I can’t return it because I basically got it for free. So i checked that the serial number and it is just in a sticker that I can pry out and slap on the broken one if I go buy a new one. Only way to find out the serial numbers not matching is to actually repair the motherboard, build it with other pc components and go to cmd in windows to check the serial number.

It is out of the return period. It took me a while to complete my set up. Sorry forgot to mention that

You don't need an ULPT you need an RMA. Just return it what's the problem?

Thiis is why you test it on the box before you build it.

If the motherboard is bad then yeah you would need to replace it.
