This is the sacramento McClellan aerospace museum, the 727 was donated to sacramento city college and the museum held onto it as an exhibit due to ramp costs
I was gonna say the same! Their outdoor static display had to have been poured in, there is SO MUCH. It's also cool that they have some Aerojet hardware as Aerojet was out in Rancho Cordova (I worked there for several years).
I'm sad to see the 27 go, but i hope that it provides needed funding for both the school and museum, I got my a&p through sac city 3 years ago and the teachers are fantastic
For us old people, it reminds me of when the Space Shuttle Enterprise was fist tested and a slew of heat shield panels came off because the glue sucked.

Is that a Lockheed C-121 in the background? I wonder what’s up with it? Hope they attempt scrapping it.

There is some seriously cool stuff at that museum.

Saw one with Aerosucre of Columbia flying last night on fl24.
Mauzersmash0815@reddit
Well irl lol. Not the same just looking at it on a screen. I wanna take a picture myself
realmikebrady@reddit
Just saying, I think they are still doing passenger flights with them. Could be your chance.
F0rbiddenD0nut@reddit
Aerosucre is a cargo airline.

I used to work with the -100 shorty and -200 stretch in the early 90s, when they were still in the active fleet (American Airlines).

Appreciate all the experiences! sad to see her end like this. Just saw her in June.
This note makes it ever sadder now :(
Figit090@reddit
Was this the last one flying? I missed the significance of this particular one.
WhiskeyMikeMike@reddit
No huge significance, just an airframe donated to a college after FedEx retired them
Figit090@reddit
Oh ok, cool. Thanks

Ugh, those empty squares are making my brain itch
clburton24@reddit
Probably taken by Plane Tags so they can sell different colors.
Figit090@reddit
That's what Brian said.
WhiskeyMikeMike@reddit
That was confirmed last time this airframe was posted
deadmallsanita@reddit
It's very trypophobic, isn't it?

Those hole patterns are pretty repetitive itch
United-Bet-6469@reddit
Very. I have trypophobia and I often wish these images came with warnings like they do for flashing lights and epilepsy

I’m an A&P, and also worked for Fed Ex. That’s a sad sight to see.
