Small but mighty

Apologies~ sop story coming.

We talk a lot about the planes themselves, but not the brands or the importance of seeing your national brand when traveling far away from home.

Born in Ireland, flew to and from America through the early 90s. Finally settling in the US in 2014.

During that time, I would have multiple connections always to get home. Skype was the only way to communicate with home during a long period of that time and not being able to connect or interact with my family or culture was a hit; one now that Denver International has direct flights from Dublin to Denver, the gap is smaller. WhatsApp made it feel like regular texting, and seeing that green BEAST in my airspace had had the most unbelievable impact on my connection to home that there could ever be.

When I see the logo in Denver now, I feel so much closer to home than I ever have. Not these 16 hour days of flying to Heathrow then back to Ireland, or Newark to Dublin on small planes, but these larger flights STRAIGHT HOME.

It’s impactful. Iconic for me and fills me with joy most couldn’t understand for my small, but MIGHTY country.

So thankful for the EIR DUB -> DEN. The aircrews are THE BEST OF ALL OUT THERE.

Thank you.
