GenX men with sex drive in neutral

There are a ton of variables that can make TRT more or less effective. My PCP started me on biweekly shots which helped a little. I expected a lot more in terms of benefits. She ended up referring me to an endo because she didn’t feel she had the experience with TRT to answer my questions or give me treatments that worked better. (Huge props to her, she was an awesome doc.) Turned out I do best on a lower dosage, spread out over 3 weekly subcutaneous injections vs one big intramuscular shot every 1-2 weeks. That’s when I started really feeling like the old me. Not like the 20 year old me, but like I felt in my late 20s/early 30s. Motivation, mood, ability to focus all improved drastically. I was way less irritable and much more patient with our kids. Sex drive was back but more importantly my desire for non sexual intimacy was too. None of that would have happened without a lot of adjustment and consistent fine tuning based on my bloodwork. TLDR— TRT is awesome but requires a knowledgeable provider to get the full (or in some cases, any) benefits. And it can take time. I started TRT in early 2021 and didn’t get things really dialed in for at least 6 months.
