That was the only Alice in Wonderland I watched at the time. Weird as hell, but I liked it. Who wouldn't like a tap dancing caterpillar? And John Stamos with a bowl cut?

Careless-Cap-449@reddit
I think of this with alarming regularity.

I came here to post this too. I’m sorry friend, sharing a virtual hug for our shared trauma.

OMG that was also scary af too! Same year wonder if it's the same director.

I was afraid of Mr. Boogedy. But the problem was I had the same Walkman. As a kid, I loved that walkman, i must have been 4 or 5. Was deathly afraid of it
green-tea-amphigory@reddit
I LOVED that movie!!
TheDavidCall@reddit
Which is the one where a dragon comes to “real life” and is like slowly staking her in the house
eannaj@reddit
Traumatized?! I was obsessed with this movie 🤣
hunterglyph@reddit
No but based on that screenshot, it’s become the thing I want to do most. It looks wonderfully terrible!

They showed this to us at school in either first or second grade, and the only thing I remembered from it was the Jabberwocky shooting out of the white box on the table. That freaking terrified me and stuck with me for years!

No but Flowers in the Attic scarred me for life

Oooo yeah...

Never saw it, but I still can't watch The Fly. I don't even like Jeff Goldblum
latebloomer2015@reddit
My dad and I went to see The Fly at the movie theater (I was definitely way too young to go and see that). I have never hated a movie more than that one. Worst movie of all time.
Sufficient_Turn_9209@reddit
I watched this constantly when I was a kid. Around 8 or 9 maybe? My mom taped it for me. Didn't it play in two parts or there was a second "through the looking glass" part to it?
rels83@reddit
It was one of the 20 or so VHS’s we owned (I’m sure recorded off PBS). The most upsetting part was that she was wearing a red dress. She looked exactly like in the Disney movie, but the dress was red. To avoid copy-write? I couldn’t even understand why Cosby had different kids in ghost dad at that age, the red dress threw me.
Sufficient_Turn_9209@reddit
Funny. That bothered me immensely as well and not just because of the Disney version. My mom handed down her 1946 childhood books to me and her dress was OG blue in those as well.
Evening_Abroad_6781@reddit
My grandma had it recorded on a vhs. This and the first ghostbusters. I would watch those 2 movies on repeat when was there.
PupLondon@reddit
I loved tbis movie as a kid! But the Jaberwocky gave me nightmares!
idkidc9876@reddit
I used to watch this all the time! Loved it. One of my favorite adaptations.
lastminutealways@reddit
I loved that version for some reason, watched it all the time at the neighbors house. I liked it way better than the Disney version. Not my typical type of movie and I’m not sure I would want to see it now lol
