Not sure how obscure this show was, but does anyone remember The Legend of Prince Valiant?

This show is where I remember becoming obsessed with knowing the voice actors.

This is some deep cut core Saturday morning memory right next to Smurfs. I think I was too young to understand what was going on but remember that it was on. Was there a Chewbacca like figure in this series perhaps?

Tim Curry doesn't even get his own title card!

Damn. Never heard of it, but rather star studded.

omg, I didn't remember it until now. Now I remember.
I... watched this. A childhood memory has returned.

I never actually saw it, but I remember hearing a little about it back in the day.

I assumed I was the only person left on the planet who even knew this show ever existed.
Loved it!

Was this on the Family Channel?
Adrasteia-One@reddit
Yeah! I can still remember catching this show every once in a while after school.

This looks like something i watched in preschool at the same time mysterious cities of gold was on.

Not only do I remember it, but I remember feeling very frustrated in the 90s that I had no way to just watch all the episodes on demand. I had missed a lot of episodes and felt like I was missing a lot of context. It game me the thought: one day there's just going to be a way to watch any episode of a show you want, whenever you want.

I remember the actual newspaper comic strip
man_teats@reddit
It was the only comic in the Sunday paper that I never read and had zero interest in reading

Not sure I'm remembering this or some Knights of the Roundtable movie/show, but I have a very distinct memory of someone saying, "You're a man now, Valiant" as part of the intro.
chronicnerv@reddit
I have never seen this, but its absolutley awesome, nothing beats 80s tracks for animation.
CaptianBrasiliano@reddit
I've never seen that. But that intro... We're reaching dangerous levels of early 90's George Michaelness...

I remember seeing ads for it but like the legend of Zelda adds on super Mario's Bros cartoon I never actually watched it.

I don’t remember anything about it, but this was absolutely buried deep in my memory.

Yes, but because my mom kept giving me that haircut. And I'm a woman. It was terrible.

Oh man, the title track, Where The Truth Lies, is still so freaking good.

I have a funny story. I was probably 10 or 11 or so and tried to cut my own hair. But I cut my bangs like Prince Valiant. The barber that fixed my hair got a big kick out of it. I only knew Prince Valiant from the funny pages though, not this cartoon.
